What's the most obscure character you have ever encountered in any of the parks?

We saw

all seven dwarfs at the camera shop in the camera shop at MK

Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook and Smee outside the Pirates of the Carribean

White rabbit from Alice and Wonderland

Gepetto

Country Bears

some gut sitting on a bench, drinking from a paper bag mumbling something....

OH you mean Disney Character!!!

let me think about it...

Thanks for posting this question. It gave me a good excuse to dig out the autograph books again. I'm not sure how rare these are on the grander scheme of things, but they were rare to us!

Suzy & Perla
Br'er Fox & Br'er Bear
Clopain
Shang
Meeko
Geppetto
Foulfellow & Gideon
Liverlips & Wendell
Philoctetes
Darkwing Duck
Bert
Princess Atta

I was surprised to see that we've only gotten some well-known characters once: Daisy Duck, Pocahontas, Hercules, Bo Peep.

And I was surprised at some of the ones that I thought were rare who we actually got two or three times on different trips: Governonr Ratcliffe, Prince John, Robin Hood, Maid Marian, Tweedle-Dee & Tweedle-Dum.

I'm still looking for Jiminy Cricket though.

Hi,
Do you remember where you saw Br'er fox and Br'er Bear....do you remember seeing Br'er rabbit?
I would LOVE to get those autographs when I'm there. I can remember watching the movie "Savannah Smiles" and she tells the story of Br'er rabbit...and I laughed so hard.

We saw Br'er Rabbit in toon town. We got off of the train and he was there along with Pinnochio, Gheppeto, White Rabbit, Friar Tuck, and some more characters that I can't remember.

In MGM we saw Kermit, Miss Piggy, and Robin Hood. At the Character calvacade we saw Max's girlfriend.

We went in October and saw a lot more of the hard to find characters, not to mention all of the villians.

2bemarried- I was at AK last week and Brer Rabbit was outside the park around signing autographs with a couple of other characters. Didn't see Brer Bear though. Brer Fox also hasn't appeared in the parks since 2001 and there's currently no sign that he will be returning.

Ocean- When and where did you see Bo Peep. I saw her about 5 years ago on the New York Street and havn't seen her since except in the Parade at MGM. When you saw her did she use a stamp or did she sign an autograph (when I met her, she had a stamp).

We saw Br'er Rabbit and Br'er Bear wandering around what is now the standby queue for Splash Mountain. Sorry I can't be more specific. We've also seen them right by the Frontierland railroad station exit.

We probably saw Bo Peep about the same time. I can't remember the exact date from that autograph book, but it was over on New York street and she was out with Woody, Buzz, and the Green Army Men. I don't remember seeing her during our last few trips to Mickey's World.

I don't know how "rare" he is but we were outside of Splash Mtn. and saw what we thought was Brer Bear. He signed our autograph book. Imagine our surprise when we looked later and saw an autograph from Liverlips! Liverlips?!?! I didn't (at that time) even know who he was! We still laugh about it to this day.

We saw Brer Rabbit, Brer Bear and Brer Fox right outside the restrooms next to Splash Mtn. This was December 2000 and they were there a lot. It seemed everytime we rode Splash Mtn (which was a lot - kids love it) they were there.

We also saw Liverlips - this past June in the front of the castle. This was after the show in front of the castle.

I also remember seeing the Mayor in front of the castle (Dec 2000). My family thought I was nuts when I made a big deal about seeing him. We got his autograph and took a picture with him.

I guess from reading these posts - finding specific characters is mostly luck. You never know where you'll find someone.

Launchpad McQwack in front of the Magic Kingdom in October, just before Halloween.

Got a great picture with him.

I hear ya Eck45. I got a great picture with Launchpad on Main St. in November. My 4 year old DD was sleeping in that morning and missed him. She saw the picture and was upset I saw a character she didn't!

Guess I will spend my Feb. 03 trip looking for Launchpadwith her:-)

I also saw most of the characters for Robin Hood in November. I think it is great when Disney has obscure characters out. My DD got very interested in the Robin Hood movie after meeting the characters.

Thank You ALL! I have a big note to myself that I have to look at Splash Mountain for Br'er rabbit. :-) You all are the greatest!

My most obscure character was also my favorite character, so I was pleasantly surprised.
I saw Friar Tuck from Robin Hood! What a jolly old mole :)

A "rare" one for us was, 01/02/03 Thursday at MK, we saw....
The Sheriff of Nottingham. We have seen all of the others from Robin Hood but not him. We are still looking for Jimminy....my husband loves him and we have never seen him!!!!!
I finally got to meet the "Snow Queen" on our trip in November....she is my favorite and I would always miss her....

We noticed this trip (NYE) that there are more and more locations now to see characters. They were all over Main Street before the parade and alot we in Epcot.....it is very nice for the little ones....and us BIG ONES who just love the CHARACTERS....

When we were in MK in May we saw a penguin - it is the penbuin from Mary Poppins. I did not know who this character was until reading this post. Thanks for clearing up that mystery.

For me it would be Friar Tuck in Epcot near the Rose & Crown Pub. Very cute!

I have pictures of my sister with Brer Fox and the White Rabbit from 1993. They were near the Teacups when we saw them. DH has a picture with Frollo from Hunchback and I have one with Cloppin. I think we saw them in 2002. I have also seen Darkwing Duck, Giddeon and Honest John, Bullseye and Jessie, Max, Dasiy, Robbin, Marrion and Friar Tuck, The Hag/Witch from Snow White, the Beast with Belle, Brer Bear, Shang, and Megera. We have pictures with some of them but others the line was just way too long!
