What's the most important thing you've forgotten to pack?!?

On the way to the airport one year, my dh realized he forgot his wallet. He was so calm and cool driving back to the house, I was a nervous wreck, afraid we'd miss the plane.

One year I kept dreaming that I'd forget my camera, which is a big part of my trip. Well, guess what? No, I didn't but it did break halfway through our vacation & my sweet dh shopped on International Drive for a new one for me.

Yup, too busy meeting work deadlines for both of us - Last August I forgot my socks but my wife forgot her Disney ticket - We had it shipped overnight with UPS - Thank God my daughter was home to pack it and send it because my wife totally panicked. She ripped through everything we had in the hotel to look for it. Well, it arrived the next day at the Radisson Resort where we were staying and we had a few laughs and booked to the parks!! :woohoo: :wave2:

This thread should be removed!!!

You are all giving my wife excuses to go shopping!!!! :worried:

April 1999 trip. Daughter had just turned 5 so was still in car seat that had to be buckled. I got in the habit of putting stuff on the top of the car while buckling her in.

On this trip, when I would need my driver's license for ID, I put my wallet on top of the car when I dropped her and DW off at terminal.

Parked long term parking and took bus back. Got to terminal and looked for wallet and driver's license. Panicked and remembered it was on top of car, but probably gone since I had driven from the terminal to the parking area.

I only had about 30 minutes and had to take the bus back to the packing area, then find the car. Miracle of miracles, the wallet was still on top of the car!

Hmm...I sense a theme here. Last November, I too forgot to pack any underwear. However, this mistake did introduce me to the wonder that is the Orlando Premium Outlets, so it all worked out just fine.

:rotfl2: Seems to be a popular item to forget.

I love the Premium Outlets!

I've never forgotten underwear, although it is a good excuse to go shopping. ;)

I did forget my cell phone charger but my stepdad brought his and we have the same phone :teeth:

UNDERWEAR! :rotfl2: Packed 2 pair for 10 days on the Oregon coast! I had to go to Bi-Mart and buy granny panties (the Wal-Mart was 30 min. away). Not my sexiest vacation! :lmao:

Bi-Mart! Gotta love lucky number day! Miss it since we moved to America's icebox 12 years ago!

I love to sew and am rather pooh-sized, so, for our first trip to Hawaii, I made myself a really cute bathing suit and cover up that actually fit and looked good...I left it haging on the back of the bathroom door at home! Had to go to Ross Dress For Less in Honolulu for a new one (which, surprisingly, fit well and looked good too!)

Once a long long time ago

My new brides Birth control pills didn't make it into the suitcase for our honeymoon at WDW :sad2:

Since our "honeymoon" wasn't until about 2 years after the fact (poor) I forgot -- excuse this --- BARF bags and extra t-shirts for ME. Yup bad enuff when lil kids throw up on you and need change of clothes but several times i just never did find a bathroom on time and well let's just say the bushes got extra fertalizer that week. We had tried so hard to make this dream child come true that it never occured to us that he would make his presence know on plane trip :rotfl:

I take mostly day trips but I have forgotten:

Extra camera batteries (and/or chargers)
Memory card (I've gone out of the house with no card in my camera!)
Sunglasses if you wear them - I normally have mine on the top of my head but one morning in "winter" we left for an early breakfast and the sun was not up bright... I got to AK and realized they were at home!

While they do sell them in the parks they are VERY EXPENSIVE!

I think zip loc bags are a wonderful addition to the backpack/camera bag, whatever you carry in the parks. We have found many uses for them, and I always try to have one with us!

We thought we did forget a memory card this past year. We ended up finding it in the camera bag down at the bottom after a few hours of searching.

An additional bag for soveniurs and snacks. My wife packed both bags well but there was no room left for those things we needed to bring back.

Well, I take so many photos, I planned ahead, and got an ipod camera connector. I made sure to have my ipod, the cord to connect my camera to it, the camera connector, and the brand new ac adpator my husband bought me for my ipod.

I didn't realize (ac adaptor was still shrink wrapped) that I needed ANOTHER cord to hook my ipod to the ac adaptor! I had previously only used that cord to hook the ipod to my computer, so I left it at home.

My very nice husband spent a half a day searching until he found me a replacement cord.

Didn't take my own advice today. Headed to MGM, and got to the parking lot (30 min from home) and realized 2G card was still in the reader on the laptop from downloading yesterdays adventures. Even my spare spare hidden away 128g card was laying on the desk too!

I spent $70something for a 512G Kodak card... they wantd $99 (per tax) for 1G... YIKES!!!!! Good thing I have some rebates coming from my most recent memory purchases at Best Buy!

DON"T FORGET YOUR MEMORY!

It was worth the money though - we got several characters that we've been looking for for three years now!

I forgot my DDs Disney Dollars, which I would not let them keep in their rooms at home, because I just knew they would forget them. SO I held onto them!

I forgot to pack my dd's princess dress. WE bought a new one but the stores weren't open until after our breakfast in the castle which she was going to wear it for. I was more depressed then her I think. I still get so mad at myself when I think of it. :sad2:
