What's the most feeble excuse you've ever used as a reason to book a holiday?

We'd already more or less decided we'd go back to DLP for a holiday next summer

BUT even if we hadn't we would now need to be going back as DH has broken my Mickey icecream scoop :scared1: and I need to go back to replace it! :rotfl2:

What's the most ludicrous excuse you've ever come up with for a holiday, Disney or non-Disney?

Wait, there's a Mickey ice cream scoop? Why has no one ever told me this? OK, that's a valid excuse to book my first trip [grin] (PS... How much?, and where from?)

I come up with a new one every single day.

Currently I want to go back in October because I forgot to take photo of the hairdryer in the Hotel New York bathroom - all in the name of research for other disers of course...

My shareholders card was due to expire so we better fit in another trip before it runs out and I have to renew.

We didn't get round to eating the Churros from the street carts on our last visit and/or it was too cold to go swimming in the pool when we went to the Lot in June so that sea and sand are:lmao: calling my name :goodvibes

Last year we went for the christmas celebrations at the end of November, it was wonderful but absolutley freezing! So when we got back I decided we had better go again in March as treat cus it would be a bit warmer any excuse ay!;)

I booked *** i hadnt stayed in the newport bay and i have alot of people asking me what hotel is best and as thats the only one i havent stayed in we needed a trip so i could give informed info!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm trying to convince my girlfriend that it would be a good idea for me to take our son in November.

We've a daughter due in September and I thought it would be nice to take him away to give him some attention.

The only problem is that our daughter would be 2 months old so my girlfriend would have to stay home and look after her. I'd probably visit with a couple of my siblings.

So far it's not going down too well! :duck:

get it booked - I don't even use excuses (even to myself) anymore for booking another trip. Last time it was probably because it was a Tuesday :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Its not a feeble excuse but it works with me especially in my line of work: Life is so short & precious, enjoy every day as if its your last! funnily no one argues with me on that:thumbsup2

I plan on getting the disney ice cream scoop & i'm also going to buy one from the M&M store in London (my house is going to a cool one:rotfl2:)

Broke my Mickey cup yesterday (black one with Mickey in coloured crystals). Its the only one that survived from our 1st ever trip last March... Have to book a replacement of crockery trip now =)

The excuse for Nov is Dd's birthday (we only got Barbies for our 6th bday!)
The excuse for May is honeymoon woohoo!! That may even be an excuse for DLH!!

The excuse for my family's trip last December was that I turned 18 the day we got back, so they were the last dates that I could get away with children's prices.

Our excuse for this December is that my boyfriend and I need something to look forward to that will give us the motivation to get through our first few months of uni.

I'm sure as time goes on our excuses will get weaker and weaker. :rotfl:

I am loving all the replies but this one

has got to be the best one ever!! :thumbsup2

Anyone else? :)
