What's the minimum time you are allowed to check luggage bags at RAC?

I'm reading conflicting info. I read three hours before your flight time from some sources and four hours from other sources. What's right, please?

Also, does RAC open at the resort at 5am or 6am? I'm getting conflicting stories on this, too.

We'll be at POP Century if it matters which resort. TIA

3 hours. The process must be completed no later then 3 hours before your flight (I'm not 100% sure if exactly 3 hours is OK). The deadline is computer enforced. Getting in line prior to 3 hours isn't good enough. The BAGS employee starting the process 3 hours prior isn't good enough.

I think it opens at 5a.

RAC opens at 5:00 AM. The minimum number of hours to check bags is 3. You can check your bags up to 12 hours in advance.

DME will pick up passengers approximately 3 hours before a domestic flight or 4 hours before an international flight.

I see where the confusion can come in with international flights.

RAC bag check can only be used by passengers on a domestic flight. I've read the 12 hour rule isn't being enforced.

What do you mean by this? That you can check you bags ealier than 12 hours? (which would be nice)

How late does the RAC desk stay open?

Your DME bus leaves about 3 hours before your flight. Say you are in the Resort Airline Check in line just barely about to make the 3 hour before flight time for the bags. Then T-15 comes along for the bus departure (T-3:15 for your flight). You have to get out of the RAC line and head for the bus platform.

Of course you can check your bags earlier then 12 hours. The OP asked about the 3 hour rule.

Your flight leaves at 9p. Under the 12 hour rule you can't check your luggage until 9a. People have said the 12 hour rule isn't being enforced. That means you can check you luggage when RAC opens at 5a even though it's 16 hours before your flight.

I was hoping to check my bag for a 10:25 am flight the evening before. I didn't realize that the RAC desk closed at 1 pm, I wouldn't want to check my bag that early even if I could.

You can't check your luggage the night before. I suspect too many issues storing the bags overnight.

Noon is about the latest available time for late check out. 1p gives guests time to get their luggage over to the RAC desk after they check out of their room.

Just trying to find a way to get an extra half hour of sleep the day I leave!

Thanks for all the information. If I ever get a flight that doesn't leave early morning it will come in handy :)
