Whats the longest that you have stayed onboard a Disney cruise ship as a passenger?

while on the ship this time, there was a family that was on for 3.5 weeks when I chatted with them and they still had 1.5 to go! 5 weeks onboard the Disney Wonder. WOW! ?

:scratchin

Where do you get the money to do that, let alone time off.

They must have SCREW-YOU money.

Twenty-one nights. We did this year's EBTA (14) and the first Med (7).

I don't think we can pull off that much time again. Our girls were in 3rd grade and the school was fine with pulling them out for three weeks. Our school will continue to be fine with us pulling them out, but their work load is getting to be more, so that much time off will be too hard for them. And we just can't afford to cruise during the summer. So we'll need to stick to shorter cruises. But nothing shorter than 7 nights. I don't want less than a week :cheer2:

(I'm a SAHM and DH earns five weeks vacation per year. He's been with the same company for over 20 years.)

Who knows how long they may have been saving for this trip. Maybe they work for the school system and had the summer off. :confused3

This is a great idea for a thread, by the way! :thumbsup2

I wonder if she was the lady I saw when I sailed on the Wonder on Sep 28. There was a lady, I think in a scooter, who was at the future cruise desk every time I walked by (either waiting in line or sitting at the desk). I must have seen her there at least 10 times. She seemed to know all of the CMs as well.....

Oh I know EXACTLY who you are talking about (was on that cruise too) overheard her telling the pin trading kiosk CM that she was going to be onboard for 3 weeks! So she's still onboard!

When you posted these, we were on our Wonder cruise and met her. (Not in a Scooter, but did use a walker). She was a very delightful person. We met her at Bingo and she save us seats for each session. She did say she is a member of the DIS boards, but doesn't post very much. I believe she had done the last Alaska cruise, the re positioning, the EBPC, the 7 Night bahama, 7 night Caribbean, 7 night Bahama (the one we were on) and going to finish up with the next week. Since she had won big in Bingo the weeks before, lots of folks were touching her for good luck. One of those couples won the final jackpot of the cruise. She finds joy in cruising and meeting new people. It is her happiness.

Of course you would want her on your team, when playing DCL trivia. We were playing against her team and didn't stand a chance :)

15 days is the longest, we love long cruises.

2007 EBTA
2008 WBPC
2010 EBTA
2012 Hawaii
2013 EBTA

2014 WBPC

We've done a couple of 7 days and they seem too short!

Jen :moped:

One day, one day ... this is my dream! My husband would go batty, though. Definitely would have to do it without him. Maybe he could meet me at a port or two! Or he'd join me for just one segment? Dreams... do come true:wizard:!

One of our faculty did one of those extended 39-day cruises last year on Princess! They went all over Asia, etc. It was a port intensive cruise, but what a great opportunity! I don't think I'd life long enough to be able to afford one of those on a high end cruiseline! :surfweb:

21 days. I did the EBTA and first Med cruise B2B this summer and it was awesome! I love long cruises with lots of sea days which made the TA cruise perfect for me. I also did the 14 day Panama Canal cruise in September; this was another awesome cruise with lots of sea days.

15 days on the canal crossing
most unbelievable trip of my life
my 14 yr old son at the time couldn't fit into his pants on depeature day
but now he is playing college football and trying to put on wieght so maybe another 15 day would do the trick:worship:

8/99 4day Magic
4/02 7 day Magic
8/03 7 day Magic
11/05 4 day wonder pin cruise
8/06 7 day Magic
8/08 15 night Panama Canal
8/09 7 day Magic
8/11 Alaska
12/12 Christmas on the Fantasy
2/14 5 day out of Miami on Wonder
12/14 New Years on the 7 day Magic

We did the 5 night Canadian last year back to back with the 8 night Bahama cruise out of NYC. Same room both cruises. it was AMAZING!

I'd love to do the longer cruises but they all happen during the school year.

Haven't done lots of cruises, but we pay for our Disney vacations on a single mom teacher income similar to the ways listed above 1) house paid for, 2) car paid for, 3) don't eat out, 4) don't spend on name brand clothes, etc. We make everything last as long as possible.

We did this exact same thing and loved it!!

So far, we've done two 7 nights but we're booked for the WBPC this May for 15 nights. Can't wait!!!

As for how you afford it, this coming 15 night trip was cheaper than our 7 night on the Fantasy for the same time of year. We would love to do a b2b some time, maybe west coast re-position then Alaska or something in the future.

In April/May of 2010 DH and I did the EBTA and first Med, so it was a total of 25 amazing nights on board. I would live on the ship if I could! :cool1:

25 nights - 2010 EBTA 14 nights B2B Med 11 nights.

TAs are great cruise deals - especially after PIF date. It's the airfare that's the killer!

I do hope Disney comes back to NYC. This would be a great combo for b2b. We couldn't take advantage of her in NYC last time because we were already booked on a cruise that year to Alaska. Fingers crossed they come back. :surfweb:
