We just returned from an amazing passage thru the Panama Canal. Last year we did the sailing to Hawaii and back. That's when I realized that 2 weeks+ is the life for me.while on the ship this time, there was a family that was on for 3.5 weeks when I chatted with them and they still had 1.5 to go! 5 weeks onboard the Disney Wonder. WOW! They started in Alaska, followed by the reposition to LA, then the Panama Canal and finally the first Caribbean sailing out of Galveston. Talk about green with envy, you could call me Kermit! What's the longest you have stayed on a ship as a guest?

:beach:

Last year we did B2B on the Fantasy [so 14 nights]. We did the Eastern Caribbean followed by a Western Caribbean. In 15 days we will be getting onboard the Fantasy but this time, only doing the Western. We are both already afraid it won’t seem long enough!!

Did either of you have the same room for your entire time?

We did! It was wonderful!!

We also did B2B on the Dream and kept the same room - but that wasn't as wonderful because (A) it was only a week long trip (B) it was interrupted in the middle with having to get off and get back on

however, I would probably do it again if that was all that worked for us

Wow that is crazy(in a good way) and I don't think me being on a ship that long would be good for my waistline. :)

14 nights was the longest I have stayed onboard the Disney Magic. I will do it again next year.

15 nights on The Magic. The 2008 EBPC, it was awesome. DH and I so want to do it again. Unfortunately now they have all the long cruises when the kids are in school...

14 nights on the Magic, 14 nights on the Wonder. I would love to do a 14 night with a B2B 7 night sometime...

Only 7 nights for us. Too long for me. We like the shorter 4 night cruises. Just can't be out on the water that long without starting to feel the effects. :(

Actually I've maintained instead of gained on my longer cruises because there's more opportunity to try it later so I don't feel the urge to stuff myself as much.

Wow, 5 weeks! How did they even pack for that trip. So many climates to pack for! I'm sure it was amazing!

My longest was the 15 nights on the Hawaii cruise and getting ready to do the 15 night PC cruise next year.

My boyfriend works for DVC and is out on the ships up to a couple weeks a month. Last Dec/Jan, he was on the Wonder for just over 4 weeks straight. That was a lot for him!

15 night Panama Canal and 15 night Hawaii. We also did a B2B East/West on the Fantasy got off for one day and back on the Dream for a 4 night. Prefer the longer cruises.

We do a 12 night in jan. on another cruiseline. We've met people onboard who do extended stays including one man who had been on the ship for a year. Now that made me green with envy.

15-nights! We loved it & really enjoy the longer cruises. We've done 10, 11 & 12 nighters too. Oh & my DH & I did 14 nights in total on a back to back and coast to coast cruises in November a couple of years ago. We did 7 nights on the Magic out of PC the week before Thanksgiving, got off the Magic & flew to LA (picking up our girls en route) and did the Thanksgiving cruise on the Wonder. Talk about an experience!

14 and 10 on the Magic, and another 14 on the Wonder.

Never been that interested in a Trans Atlantic cruise, but .... if DCL would have a Panama Canal Cruise that hooked up time frame wise with a TA that would be 28 nights with a brief on land transfer. Nope, not going to work - The Magic and Wonder both leave the Caribbean for the summer and return early fall :(

And I just found my argument to DH as to why a two week cruise is the way to go.....thank you! :thumbsup2
