Whats the least amount you have ever paid for an entire WDW trip?

Our first family trip in '97 cost $1300 for seven nights. We stayed at SOG, went to Sea World, Kennedy Space Center and had to purchase tickets for 2 adults and 1 child at WDW. I remember having to be so careful with our spending because I had become a SAHM and had to adjust to that single income. Luckily my DD wasn't a big eater and I remember actually sharing a hot dog with her to save money.

That trip with all the walking and watching what we ate so carefully (price wise) I actually lost 5-7 pounds!:rotfl2:

In 2001 Judy and I took advantage of Columbus Day Weekend. Because of the proximity to 9/11 everything was cheap.

We left Washington after work on Thursday and returned home Monday night.

Parking at Dulles Airport
Round trip air for two IAD/MCO
Rental car for four days inclding filling the tank
Special promo rate at the Courtyard on Hotel Plaza Blvd (now Holiday Inn).

Total of above $513. We had APs and did not need to buy tickets, and ate out enough that we never considered the cost of meals.

About $3,000 - $3,500
August 2007
2 Adults - 1 Child
8 Days/7 Nights - CBR
7 Day Park Hopper for 3
1 Day Water Park for 3
Dining Plan
Round Trip Airfare from Newark

I did a 7 night solo trip at POP back in Jan 2006. I got POP for $49 a night with AP discount - so with tax it was about $400 for the room for the entire week! :teeth: And that was the nutty trip where I drove both ways (from NJ to Florida and back) in my Honda Accord with 195,000 miles on it! So I only had to pay for gas back then, which was I think about $90 each way. And food wasn't bad - I mainly at at the food courts, I think only 2 sit downs, so food was probably in the $120 range. And I didn't even rent a fridge. Since I had an AP, the whole trip was around $750. Not bad! :)

Nowadays, I can't seem to get any solo trip under $1500! The discounts aren't as good, and my tastes are more expensive - I always seem to want a deluxe, and I want to take the AutoTrain, since I just don't feel like driving 1100 miles. I got to scale back more, like I did before!

A family trip (with my sister and her 2 kids) never costs less than $3200, which is why we don't go too often together!

Just for me;

320 for a week @ SOG
291 for Stars and Stripes pass
50 of food from Sams club
20 for the van fr4om MCO to hotel

Total 931

Spending;
30 for photopass photo shoot
15 for photopass cd
70 for tonys town square,
70 for ohana character breakfast
70 "Extra"
Total 255

Our upcoming trip is a good deal for us. We are paying around $1750 for 8 nights MMY, DDP, 2 adults and 1 child base ticket. We're staying at Pop. We got a code, so our room is only $54 a night, except for day 1 that we just added yesterday as a seperate ressie. Our airfare was around $650. We might save more money by skipping DDP, but our room was such a good deal, we thought we'd give it a shot. I didn't read all of the posts, but here is what I have heard about getting a code, b/c no one is sure how they are generated. Have an idea of when you may go and request a dvd from Disney. Also, register on the disneyworld.com website to see if a code comes your way. Also, free dining has been offered for several years in a row for the last week of Aug and most of Sept...another way to save some $. Good Luck!

We got in on the free dining back in 2007, when it included the appetizer AND tip. We stayed 13 nights at the Pop Century complete with 10 day tickets WITH waterpark, free dining, and our package for 2 parents and 1 child was $1995! I kept track of what we ate and our food bills alone would have come to $2000! We had lobster 3 nights!!!

Pop Century 4 nights free dining,1 day base tickets $524.18

airport parking $47.96
tips PreFlight parking shuttle ($5 ea way) $10
tips luggage services (last day,to hold luggage) $5

We can drive, on a tank, so you have to remember that..

Last year we stayed for 5 nights (Sun-Thursday) in the second week of December, 2 A, 2 C (1 infant) at Pop, with the dining plan, non-hopping tickets (5 days of tickets) for $1400. They released a general discount code and we got the room for $49 a night

That didn't include tips or souvies. Tips were aprox $100

I had 2 really inexpensive trips
The first trip was in November following 9/11. Four of us, my mom & my 2 small children, stayed in a value resort with annual pass discount was about $49 a night. Airfare was $19 per person one way & $49 to get home. I had won a gift certificate in a raffle & had a $200 discount on airfare. We had annual passes & it was about our 4th trip that year, so park admission was free. We had a fridge in our room & brought lunch into the parks daily. I won $106 from a radio show at a fast food drive thru. That was almost enough to pay for the rental car. Then, the next day, I won $1,000 on a peel off game at that same fast food place. This week long trip trip was very close to free!

My second inexpensive trip was when we stayed in a cabin in Fort Wilderness. They were doing pool construction, or some kind of construction & I have no idea why, must have been a fluke, but we got the cabin for $59 a night. (I think it was the week after Christmas break.) We flew using miles so airfare was free. The rental car was $99 for the week. I brought from home frozen hotdogs, mac & cheese, chicken, & instant soup. I purchased salad stuff, bread, peanut butter & water when we got to Florida spending around $75 on groceries. The most expensive thing on this trip was the aide for my autistic son.

I wish I could get this lucky again!

It was this year... I split most of these costs with my brother, though.

$984 for 5 nights at POR with regular dining plan for two adults (split)
$0 for my 5 day Military Salute ticket (he bought it for me and I paid for the rental car and gas)
$286 for two roundtrip tickets from BNA to MCO on Southwest (split)
$126 for a midsize rental from Thrifty
$25 in tips to mousekeeping, drivers, baggage handlers
$25 in snacks/bottle water from WalMart to keep in the room
$80 in tips for the DDP (split)
$45 for airport parking
$26 for gas for the rental car
$50 in souveneirs...I usually don't do this, but I had just found out I was having a girl, so of course I had to buy baby stuff.
$91 for my ticket to Universal/IOA
$12 for parking at US/IOA
$20 for food at US/IOA
$50 miscellaneous money that I spent on snacks, etc.

So that makes: $1820, and I didn't have to pay it all myself...I think I made out like a bandit, considering DH and I usually spend about $3500 on our vacations each year!

The least we ever spent on a room was last May, just dh and I without the kids this time. It was our anniv. and we used 300,000 american advantage miles that we had that also consisted of hilton points which we converted to AA. We had 3 nights at the Polynesian and 3 nights at the Yacht club with a complimentary upgrade to conceirge at both places. It was amazing and unbelievable. All for the total sum of.....$89.!!! Right now we have 90,000 miles and counting.

a few years ago we stayed at the Mariott Courtyard at Downtown Disney for $20.04 a night. (NO, that's not a typo)

It was an internet special -- Sun thru Thurs and we stayed all 5 nights for $100 total.

 I'd do it again in a heart beat.

We went for 5 days in 2004 and spent under $1,000. My ds was 2 so we only needed 2 park tickets for 4 days. (We left early on day 5). Also, my friend and I did some searching online for rooms and we each got a room at Pop Century for $45/night through Expedia. Then I kept watching and watching airfares. I found tickets in November for our Feb trip for $315 total for 3 people round-trip from Albany. That's unheard of around here! (Southwest). We had a fabulous time (though it was way too short!)!

It was December after 9/11. I was recently seperated and had little money but by 11 y/o son had always dreamed of disney. i took all 3 kids out of school for 2 weeks. I wanted to ge away from the mess that was our life. We stayed at ASMU. I budgeted $60 a day for fod or extras and brought suitcases full of non-perishable food. For 2 weeks food, airfare, tickets, room wa a litttle under $2000. I remember making lunches each day in the room.It was the most magical time of our lives and we hae been back about 8 times. My 11y/o son was the oldest , so school was not an issue, but even if it was I would do it again in a heatbeat.

We just went March of this year this is what we spent:
$74 *5= $370 5 nights Pop Century
$124*3= $374 3 military salute your way tickets
$300 gas roundtrip from Pennsylvania
$300 food and souvies (We took alot of food down)
$1344 for 5 nights for 2 Adults 1 Child 1 Infant!

Going again in December if they put out a good deal!

We are going in October 12-16 for mine and DH's anniv. and DH's bday. We got a code for 4 nights with free dining. It will be me DH and DS12 and the we are staying at POFQ. It will be 1600 plus 775 for airfare from Prov. RI. I think this is a pretty good deal. This includes 5 day park hopper tickets.
