Whats the easiest way to get TGV ticket at CDG?

Hi

We won’t know until we arrive whether we are going to get the TGV or the VEA, so we cant get the TGV tickets in advance. (got them in advance last time, although they weren’t ever checked – we might as well had none!)

So what’s the best way to get them at Charles de Gaule station?

Should I print out a copy of the timetable with the route/code numbers on it, or will it be obvious when I go to buy them which ones to get?

I don’t speak French, so it may not be easily sorted at the ticket office– is there a ticket machine too?

Also, what about the return journey at the station at Disneyland?

What do you suggest?

Heyhey,

should you get them in advance and decide not to take the train, you can have them refunded. But of course that'd mean triple work with booking/payment, cancelling them (by phone), waiting for the refund.

When you actually *use* your tickets, whether you have to show them or not, refund isn't possible as you have to punch them at the small validator boxes outside the train (at the elevator door or upstairs before using the escalators).

To buy them on site there are ticket counters one level above the platforms, and I mean to remember there are also vending machines (each TGV station at least has machines for refund and exchange; would be silly if those don't either sell fresh tickets to you).

Even being at an international airport, fluent english can't be expected (like everywhere in France). But ordering tickets for 'next TGV to Marne-La-Vallee' should work anyway (some train staff don't know where 'Disneyland' is!). They probably won't tell you things like "hey, if you go 20 minutes later the tickets can be cheaper" or whatever...

Same at the DLRP station: ticket counter and (most likely) machines, too.
