Well the French Quarter is a totally different resort than Riverside. They are both clasified as Port Oleans but back in the day they had 2 totally different names (DIxie Landings and Port Orleans to be exact).
The French Quarter is has a VERY Southern feel to it. Think wrought iron and flowers and Jazz music. They do very good at imitating New Orleans.
Port Orleans has the Alligator Bayou which is more rustic. The other section looks like big mansions on a plantation ala Gone With The Wind.
I love them all but me top fav is FQ for size and theme. I think for a honeymoon you would find the Mansions or the FQ the most romantic.
Good luck and congrats. We spent a few nights of our honeymoon in a mansion room before moving to the Beach Club. We loved it and the staff gave us a box of truffles and a certificate for 2 glassed of wine at the bar.
