Why Oh Why is Disney changing thier package deals like this?
If I wanted to stay for a full week, can I still use the code, but pay regular rates on the weekend? How is this going to work, especially if you get a package with dining?

They're simply saying that the price quoted is for a Sun- Thurs stay. When they say 'From $516/day per adult most Sun - Thurs" that simply means that price is applicable for a sun - thurs stay, 5 nights. You just pay more for the weekend nights and longer stays if you want.

Disney has changed their system so that each day of the week can have a different rate. At the moment, weekends, Friday and Saturday, for the most part have the same rate as the rest of the week, they are only giving this discount for the other days of the week.

THanks....
I was able to use the code for May 7-11 (thurs-Sun) . I booked a trip for my BIL and his GF. 4 nights 5 days at Coronado with dining plan free upgrade to park hopper and waterpark fun and more and the total was $1532.

That's pretty good for May.

Were you able to use a code to get a room disount & a free ticket park hopper???? You may want to check into that because I thought it was one or the other.

well the general codes that I have do not say anything about a room discount. I looked on mousesavers, intercot, and disboards. I haven't heard about a room discount for May.

If I had to guess "why", Id have to say it sounds like they are restructuring their regular resort booking system to be similar to their DVC system. DVC room rates (points) have always been based on Sun-Thurs as one rate (X amount of points) and Friday and Saturday are another rate (Y amount of points).

This would allow them more flexibility with expansion and integration (technically speaking) to use one unversal system.

Just a guess...
