What's the deal with scaffolding at BC? Anyone just back?

My friend just returned from the YC and said the BC was covered in scaffolding. Where is it and will it interfere with water views??

We were at BCV last week. Yes there is some scaffolding at BC but not ALL of it. There should still be some rooms with water views, just not as many. Hope this helps!

We were at BCV a week ago, and yes there is scaffolding on a large part of the BC. It is on the right side of the quiet pool (if you are standing on the Boardwalk). It looked like it took up the entire wing there, but when we were walking to Epcot using the walkway from the Villas, we did see people occupying the garden side of that wing. It looked like exterior work was going on, I'm not sure about any interior work.

Well, I just couldn't stand it so I just called the Beach Club. the woman said that the scaffolding was on the other side of the building, not the water side, and they hadn't had any complaints. However, that doesn't sound like what Allie 322 said.

Confused!! Where exactly on the building was it? Near the pool?

if they have scaffoling over the room then the room is not for rent.

When you go out toward the boardwalk from the BC lobby (not toward the parking lot), the wing that is to your immediate left is covered in scaffolding. When we left last Wednesday, the area surrounding the BC quiet pool was still open for business. I don't think that the areas facing the parking lots had scaffolding on them but I can't be 100% sure of that because we didn't go out that way too often. When we stayed at YC last year, they were renovating rooms and we had no problems. We had a water view room facing the quiet pool. The renovations did not affect our stay at all.
Have a great vacation!

I wonder if that is the reason there is no availability during our week in August. I called to see about adding another room ( a connected one) and the CM told me the BC was sold out.

Thank you! I am sure it will not be a big deal at all now. It sounds like it's moving from place to place, and I am sure that the Beach Club would not allow guests to stay in "water view" rooms that weren't!
