What's the deal with FJ lockers?

4 more sleeps till WWoHP!! Me and DS16 are heading to Universal in a few days and I've read some comments about the lockers being crowded. We are staying onsite and plan to take advantage of early access into the park. Will we have trouble getting a locker at FJ since we are there early? We are traveling without DH and DS7 this trip so there is no one to hold my stuff when doing these types of rides.

Also, do all of the shops in WWoHP send packages to the onsite hotel rooms?

Lockers will be fine first thing in the morning. Walk to the back of the locker room to avoid the cluster of people who try to get the ones at the front. Remember that your locker is only free for the time posted, not the entire time you are there, so check the return time that is shown.

Thanks damo! Do you know if the shops send your packages to the onsite hotel rooms?

I do believe that you need to take them to the shop that is right outside the Wizarding World (in Lost Continent on the left as you are exiting WW) and they will send your packages. Be sure to ask if you will get your packages the same day -- it might not be until the next day. You might just want to have them sent to the front of the park so you can pick them up on your way out.

Usually I carry my Bagallini messenger bag on rides with me--no problem on coasters at Disney World. It straps across my chest and I can position it on my side or towards the front like a FannyPack. Will I be able to wear this bag on FJ?

Don't know about Forbidden Journey, but when I was there in May I had a Vera Bradley mini hipster, which is smaller than the Baggallini (I have both). I was not allowed to wear it on either MIB or Mummy. The CM stopped me and told me any loose bags had to be placed in the lockers and cross body bags no matter how small were considered loose items. Fanny bags were OK, but not cross body bags. I've never had a problem taking cross body bags on any ride at Disney and in fact used that same bag during that same trip at WDW, taking it on every ride.:confused3

If it goes over your shoulder it is considered loose. If it fastens around your waist you are fine.

So, that must mean that you are not allowed to bring a camera in the castle? This is really dumb, but, do the lockers lock? Worrying about leaving our camera unattended! Thanks!

You can bring cameras inside the castle but just make sure the camera will fit in the little compartment in the seats. Otherwise you will have to either leave with someone who isn't riding or put it in the locker...and yes...they do lock.

Just curious how big the "little compartment" you refer to actually is? Does it look big enough to hold a standard SLR camera?
