What's the deal between Meryl Steep and Sandra Bullock?

I heard something about how there was some kind of feud, but I can't find anything about it on the internet. Then last night, it looked like Sandra Bullock was trying to foster a better relationship with Meryl???? I'm so out-of-the-loop on what's going on in the entertainment industry, LOL...........

I don't think there was a fued. The media hyped up the Best Actress category as a battle between Sandra and Meryl. A few times I heard them same Sandra probably would win, but Meryl deserved to win. Yada, yada, yada.

On a side note, I saw Blind Side and Julia and Julia and between the two, I would have went with Meryl Streep. Sandra was good, but Meryl Streep was amazing at Julia Child IMHO. I didn't get a vote though!

It's just a running joke between the two of them, where they pretend to be jealous of each other. They actually get along great in real life.

To be honest, I haven't seen either one......but I did see Its Complicated and LOVED Meryl in that. I'm glad to hear that it probably wasn't true- stinks that the media always tries to create a catfight..............

Meryl's performance was very good, but it wasn't great for her standard. It was a typical MS performance.

Sandra Bullocks is mostly a romantic comedy actress with some soft drama thrown in. This performance was outstanding for her, not only for her acting skills but just for the fact that she stepped outside of her usual box. It was way beyond her norm and that is why I think alot of people voted for her. Also it was a really good movie but it was in a tough field and didn't get any other nominations. So a vote for her was a vote for the story as well.

A month or so ago, they smooched it up a bit on stage at an award show.. all in good fun, nothing too crazy.

I don't think the media started that, they were just goofing around and having some fun during awards season. It was pretty funny.
