What's the consequence of NOT following crowd calendar??

As titled.... Will I be penalized for my stupidity and bump shoulders with everyone or wait in the line forever????

Against the advice of most crowd calendar, I schedule MK on a Monday (from 9am-ish until 2:30pm) and Epcot on a Tuesday evening (4pm-9 or 10pm) when there will be EMH.... It is kinda late in the game to play musical chairs with my FP+ and ADR. We are going second week of August.....

I am satisfied if I get to ride my 3 FP+ and get pic with Baymax during EMH... .

risk of long waits and crowds IF you fail to account for and manage your daily schedule or have expectations of being able to achieve plenty without accounting for time spent in lines. You can visit counter to crowd calendar advice - and many people do so and still have enjoyable time - but takes a little smarts and perhaps realistic view of what will be possible, like using RD and FP to your full advantage and not expect to ride 7DMR 4x in a day!

Well first use is to gauge when you might want to come if you have flexibility in your traveling.. lower crowds is sometimes the most desirable.. hard to achieve but maybe you'll luck out and a week you can travel shows lower for the chance of less people.

Now the day by day per park calendars, guesses at what parks might be less can really help in planning a possible low crowd park each day. not really a huge help when it's really crowded but if you might be coming the few days where it's going to be lower, 1 park tends to be really crowded when the other 3 aren't..

they are best guess, and to a degree help get more people in empty parks making them inaccurate.. use them only as part of your choices for what you want to do or be each day..

I've found that a good touring plan (as redsbe pointed out, using FP and RD, etc) is FAR more important than following a crowd calendar. I don't even look at the crowd calendars anymore, though we do tend to avoid MK on Mondays and hit AK on the weekend.

We rarely even look at the crowd calendars anymore, plus we love night time EMH. We do not do many RDs, rather be at the parks late then early, and always had a great time. You already have the right attitude going into your trip, by not expecting to cover everything, you will be fine.

I don't look at crowd calendars. I haven't found a significant difference in crowd level because we are early risers and go in early October with moderate crowd levels. I plan FP+ for a few rides after lunch, hit some popular rides at park open and then we can slow down mid-afternoon or return to the room for a break.

i don't follow crowd calendars or recomme3nded days vs not recommended days.
i still get everything done with time to spare.

Mondays at MK are always crowded, be sure to get there early. Epcot on Tuesday should be fine.

For our upcoming trip I tried to follow crowd calendars but I found that different sites have different ratings for each park so I tried to average them out and plan our trip that way. They way our trip worked out we are visiting MK on a Monday when it's rated a 6/10 (the highest during our stay) but the only day that had the Electrical Parade. We scored PPO ADR for BOG so plan on getting stuff done early then rest in the afternoon and plan FP+ for the evening. You'll be fine and don't stress!

Sometimes you just can't use crowd calendars. On our last trip we wanted to see Wishes but the only MK days that were recommended were party nights. We went to MK on a Monday with a good touring plan (and 3 MBs loaded with FPs) and had a great time. It can also depend on your expectations.

Never looked at one much less followed one. If you are happy with your 3 FPs and meeting Baymax, you are way ahead of the curve. Go, enjoy and relax.

We just spent over 2 weeks there. The tools I used...MDE and the Lines app. I looked at the crowd calendar stuff just for curiosity, but didn't alter plans one bit due to their predictions...which I'd say were accurate about 50% of the time...about the same odds of flipping a coin.

I no longer look at crowd calendars. I just use common sense (avoid water parks on weekends, expect holiday weeks to be busy, expect the EMH park to be a bit more crowded during the day...) and plan accordingly.

I've found that smart use of rope drop, PPO breakfasts, FP+, and EMH gives the results we want.
