Whats the coldest temps you've dealt with in disney?

5 years ago we went in December and it got down in the 30's at night - I had not packed winter coats and gloves and we needed them! This past December I thought I would be prepared, (the kids wore their winter coats on the plane and had to carry them when we arrived) and took 1/2 summer wear and 1/2 cold weather wear. We stayed in shorts the entire 11 days and winter wear never left the suit cases.

We were there in April one time (our first), and it was in the 40's. The announcer said it was the coldest it had been in Florida in 50 years. Figures it would happen when I was there.

December 16-22, 2000. First day was about 80 when we arrived. By the time we left 5 days later the high was about 40 and they were blowing heated air on the flowers at CBR so they wouldn't freeze. That was the year the whole country seemed to be in a freeze. I'm sure that's rare.

25 degrees Christmas morning, scraping icy frost off the windshield. It was the last year of the live Christmas parade and people were wrapped in the blankets from their hotels.

This was an unusual cold spell that lasted well over a week (not 25 every day). It was so cold they had many of the ornamental palm trees wrapped in burlap with heaters blowing on them.

My next Christmas trip never got below 55 and that was at night.

50 degrees with drizzling rain that felt like needles hitting your skin. That was a few years ago in November. It had been nice all day, this happened a couple of hours before we left at night.

The coldest temps I've experienced at WDW were the mid-40's in December of 2000. Then I went at the same time in December 2001 and it was in the high 60's or low 70's.

January of either 1995 or 1996, we were there and it was 30 during the day. Of course, at home in CT they had 2 feet of snow, so we were still in better shape!!!!

It was about 43 degrees and a slight drizzle of rain......I was SOO cold, I had to have an Alcoholic Drink to warm up! This was at 11:00am in the Morning at AK! I also had to buy a Sweatshirt and Hat plus I wore a Jacket OVER that and was STILL Cold! I did not see the sun until the next day at MK and was so Happy to see it!

I went in January a few years ago. One day we were wearing shorts and tank tops...the next day we all needed long pants and sweatshirts/jackets. It didn't feel that bad though. I just hate going that time of year because you need to pack clothes for all types of temperatures! lol

We were there that week in January 2001 when it was freezing. I was so glad that we came from a cold climate and we had our coats, gloves and scarfs because we needed them.

One of my favorite pictures is DH and I underneath a palm tree wrapped in 6 layers of clothes.

One spring break we almost froze to death. Thank goodness there was snow on the ground at home, so we had jackets with us. When you passed a pool, all you could see was a huge cloud of fog with voices inside. I remember hearing that Disney was concerned about all the flowers.

We were there in early December and it was beautiful. I guess it just depends on luck.

January 2-6, 2002... 40's during the day, and cloudy, with intermittant showers, and 32 degrees at night with a windchill of 23. Pop up camper.... NOT ON YOUR LIFE!!!

I believe it was Feb of 84. My parents and sister drove down to Florida. I was going to fly down a few days later. My sister called me the night before my flight with one request, "Bring our coats!! It's freezing!". I thought she was kidding!! Nope. My first 2 days in Disney, half the day was spent in a winter jacket! When we got into the parks, first thing in the morning, we raced to Fronteirland to get some hot cocoa and warm chocolate chip cookies to warm us up!

In May of 99 we were there during a cold snap.

What do you pack in May, bathing suit and light clothing. It was 96° the day we arrived 2 days later it was in the 60's, one day it didn't even get out of the 50's. For 3 days it was down right cold had to go out and buy sweats. They even closed the water park one day. Then back up into the 90.

I guess it can very greatly even in May.

In December of '99. Most daytime temps were in 60's-70's but for a MVMCP, an Illumination cruise and a Fantasmic! evening, it was high 30's, low 40's, VERY brisk. We wore our Chicago winter clothing.
