I'm seeing some super low rates for my dates that just popped up. I haven't stayed there in 10 years or more. I'm surprised rates are so much lower than POR/POFQ. Is it decent? Are there cheerleaders there or something? (mid-January.) I have several trips coming up in 2020 and would love it if this could be a cheap option for a family w teens.

Curious!

I don’t know of any ‘catch’. CSR is a beautiful resort that we have stayed in several times and thoroughly enjoyed. In late Jan/early Feb 2020 we are actually hoping to stay in GDT, which will be new for us. However, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay in the outer buildings on a future trip - especially with a good rate.

if something is happening that I am not aware of, hopefully someone else will post and let us know. Meanwhile, maybe it’s Your opportunity to experience the benefits of another stay in the lovely CSR. ;)

jump on it before it's gone. CSR is a conference resort so if there is a conference and the block of rooms are not all taken, they release the remaining rooms to the public and sometimes at a great discount. I have gotten a couple of great deals at CSR over the years.

Just returned from a week at Coronado. Beautiful resort. We were in Rancho‘s building 7A which was an ideal location. We were very close to the bus stop and even though it was the second stop on the loop we always had seats, the buses were never crowded when picking us up, and we never had to wait very long for a bus. I would highly recommend Ranchos building 7A we were on the backside of the building which made it even closer to the bus stop. And it was just a short walk to the main food courts

I just believe it is now going to be the moderate resort that will book up last. I loved CSR. It is a tie for #1 with POR for me. The them is just awesome, the water slide is great and so is the hot tub. Love this resort.

I’ll be the one with a little negative the pool is packed now with the add of the tower. For a conference resort we were surprised at how crowded the pool was. ( this was summer though) so if you don’t care about the pool it was fine.

Good point. Yes, I love a nice pool with a slide. This resort slide is the only one my youngest has actually taken note of and remembered, other than SAB of course. But it is a great slide. I didn't think about the addition of all those rooms having an effect on the pool area. What about the transportation? Has the tower made an impact there?

CSR is my favorite moderate. We also booked for that price at that time. No catch. Enjoy!

We were there for 3 days in November (Wine and Dine Half Marathon weekend). Weather was great for swimming every day and the pool was never particularly crowded. Such a refreshing change from other places where you sometimes have to battle for chairs (ahem, Poly).

We were there the week after Thanksgiving and based on room availability online, I think it was booked up (or mostly). I hardly saw anyone during our four night stay! We never had to wait for a second bus going to or from the parks, and there would maybe be one stroller per bus. No kids running around, the kids that were there were so well behaved...given the price, we will always stay at CSR over POP. For my next trip it was only $10/night more than POP so a total no-brainer. The Skyliner is great but I'd rather sleep better at night than get to the park a bit faster. CSR's location is fabulous as well, it is the most centrally located resort we have stayed at. Great for MK if you aren't able to stay at a monorail resort, the bus ride was only 12-13 minutes.

That is an awesome deal!

I have stay at CSR several times for a conference and will be there again in April!

I love this moderate resort and have found the "standard" non tower rooms to be fantastic. The remodel is gorgeous. I have stayed at the Castias building 4x2 and thought it was a perfect location.

The bus stop was right outside.

Sorry, to those asking where I saw the price, dates, etc, I should note that I am a passholder and this was the passholder discount. Gift of Magic room only offer was also good, but not quite as low. Looks like all rooms for that range are gone.

I look forward to staying at CSR again some day. I would like to be in building number four or five next time, as we tried the Ranchos last time and they were just beautiful. I have no real desire to stay in the Cabanas for some reason.
