What's the buzz on DCL out of NYC?

I keep very up to date with all the news and rumors of WDW but not at all with DCL. What is the word on the future of DCL itineraries going out of NYC? I know they had a few this fall but they were all during the school year and didn't work for our family. Were they testing out for hopefully adding NYC departures more regularly? Will one of the 2 new ships possibly be sailing out of NYC regularly?

Any speculation/rumors/theories appreciated. Thanks!

I've got no info, but I would love to see more sailings out of NYC (or NJ - anywhere close for us in Northeast). The fall trips are a good start, but it would be great to have some during school holidays that we could take advantage of without having to pull the kids out of school.

I really hope the new ships mean regular NYC sailings now. I have family in Florida, so we're down near Port Canaveral anyway, but it would be awesome to save that $500 airfare to occasionally cruise out of NYC instead.

Dream itinerary for new ship in the summer season, New York to Iceland then Scandinavia ending in the Uk. Then the return can be the opposite but with different ports. About 22 days in all. That would be an awesome back to back!

I feel like there are a lot of us East Coasters that would really take advantage of regular NYC sailings, especially during times when school is out. They could even just sail us right down to WDW and I'd be happy . But really, I would think there is a large enough market for some regular itineraries to be added. Fingers crossed!

I dunno, I can see Disney moving a ship permanently to the West coast before they add more sailings to NYC, as the East coast is already well represented in the Disney lineup.

I would so love for them to add a ship out of NYC...but alas that's just a wish...
