Whats the best way to search for good air fares?

I have been looking for good prices from San Diego to OKC for July. I will also be searching for Tickets from OKC to MCO in December. I have went to "Low Fares" that offers many sites to check. SW is never included so I check SW also.

I have not flown as much as many others on this board so I need your advice on how to find good prices if they are out there.

try kayak, you can set a notification for price drops on dates/route.

Hipmunk.com is good, especially if you are a novice user of online booking engines. Hipmunk also provides fare alerts easily, and uses the same engine as the ITAMatrix (with I'd recommend for advanced users of online booking engines). Another important aspect of Hipmunk is that they are not a travel agency. Instead, the Book It button takes you directly yo that airline's website to book the flight, so there are no third party agencies to deal with for changes.
