What's the best way to handle a rental?

I've never rented and unfortunately messed up on my points and I now have points to rent by 3/31/17. What's the best way to go about it? Am I too late in the game? If I go to a company that does rentals, who would you recommend?

Is there anyplace I can look to see how I go about handling a rental, assuming I get a purchaser.

Thank you.

With that short timeframe, you probably be able to get somewhere beteeen $6-$9/point and you'll have to work pretty hard to find availability.

David's sponsors these boards, so we probably cannot recommend others. However, David's is pretty easy to work with and they pay thru PayPal. I would recommend using the Rent/Trade Board here on the disboards, but you're not a very prolific poster and they have requirements for who can post their "points for rent" threads. You would have to pay for that privilege since you don't post often.

You're going to have to accept that you won't command a premium price for your points. Just hope that you cover your MFs for them. Hopefully you don't have a lot of expiring points to unload. Best of luck to you!

Daves is the best way for you. You might get a price that might cover your MF but be prepared not to. They will have the best resources on what can be filled and by who. These are considered distressed points so Dave will put them up for about $9/ and they take $3/. IF you want to get them out and take a bit of a hair cut, then you can offer them to Dave at 4-5/ and he them can put them up for less too.
Good luck

How many points do you have? Maybe take a chance and make a res at SSR for spring break and then "sell" that on boards and auction sites.

OF course you can recommend other companies besides a Board Sponsor. Just remember to post a link to the business you wish to recommend/discuss. If any part of the link shows up with *******, then you know that business is in the DISboards.com filter and should not be discussed. (There are good reasons for the filter and those reasons cannot be discussed on the boards. If you have questions about the filter, you may contact admin@wdwinfo.com). If you have never rented your points before and do not have the time to solicit renters from the Rent Trade Board, someone like Dave's is your only option to recoup any cash from the points. If you desire to rent yourself, you need to have a good contract to use that will protect you and the renter in the event the train jumps the tracks. You have about 4-6 weeks to make something happen, so get busy.
