What's the best thing that happened to you today?

For me:
Best thing: A nice relaxing breakfast with DH.
Worst thing: DH was supposed to be off today but got called in. Oh well.

Kind of an uneventful day for me. How about you?

Best Thing: Just got an e-mail from DFi saying to meet him at our favorite pizza place (see also: Chicago is the fattest city thread.. )!

Worst Thing: Woke up this morning convinced it was Saturday--then realized it was only Friday.

Best thing: DH and our DDs came downtown for lunch with me today.
Worst thing: DH called to say our new puppy chewed through a PlayStation controller.

Worst thing - Had to get back to work today! Oh well, can't be on vacation forever, right?

best thing: i got ALL my shopping done today-before 10 a.m. and i was by myself!
worst thing: our power bill came today - $129.39! GEEZ! can't imagine if i lived up north! those of you that do, have my sympathies. with last week's temporary layoff making this week's check a 198.00 unemployment check (72.00 of which i spent today on groceries, necessities and prescriptions), that 130 bucks is REALLY gonna hurt.

Found out that a house I just sold has a BTSA of $1,500 on it. That stands for Bonus to Selling Agent.

Then I remembered...

Worst thing:

I pass those on to my clients. I don't feel comfortable taking what looks like a bribe.

Oh well... it was fun while it lasted.

Best Thing: Had a very nice lunch, just me and DS4.

Worst Thing: Had the prep work done at the dentist's to get a crown. Wasn't too bad, but a little uncomfortable having my tooth ground down to nubbins.

Best thing--Went to the library and breakfast with DD12. Went shopping with DD21 and DD25 came over with my 2 DGD. Now 1 DGD is staying for the night

Worst thing--Had the day off and still woke up at 6 am.

Best: 2 things (can I do that? )
1. It's Friday we have nowhere we have to go and I get to hang out with my girls this evening
2. All my students were in today. So many have been out sick it was great to have them all there today.

Worst: I don't have one really. I guess it could be that I got my paycheck 3 hours later than usual. But I still got a pay check so that's really not that bad.

Best-had lunch with a couple friends

Worst-I don't know, nothing really-maybe having to ride DS again because of not turning in homework that was done that he just "forgot" to turn in (I guess his teacher forgot the engraved invitation that said for him to turn it in).

Best Thing: A colleage at work told her boss to "Kiss her A**". Her boss is a contant pain in my "side" and causes me alot of problems. It was good to see her boss get some grief for a change.

Worst: the best thing made the day such that nothing was bad about today.

Best: I got my belly button pierced. I've been wanting to do it for a long time, and kept talking myself out of it (I'm too old, it'll get infected, it'll scar). I finally just went ahead and did it...and I love it!

Worst: After several beautiful days, it was cold and gray here today.

Best: There's two...lunch out with the office clan at a nice Italian restaurant celebrating one person's birthday. Second, I get to work OT tomorrow!! I haven't had a job in YEARS that's authorized OT!

Worst: The alarm going off at 4:30 a.m.

Worst thing: It's colder than it has been. That's about it for today. I'll keep my fingers crossed that nothing else happens!

Best thing: Found out I didn't have to work today and it is also DH's day off, so that was an extra bonus.

Worst thing: Can't really think of anything except that it is getting late and I haven't made supper yet (DH bowls so it is just DD11 and I) and don't have a clue what to make.

I'll start with my worst.

Worst: My project engineer said I needed to re-do a work procedure due to a new calculation. (about 10 hours of work down the drain and the new one needs done by Monday).

Best: as I got all my stuff together for some work at home this weekend to redo my work procedure he called, said he made a math error and after redoing it my procedure is good. My weekend is free from work.
