What's the best strategy for getting on Frozen Ever After?

We have tried for 5 days in a row now to get a fast pass for this and had no luck. We'll have to wait in line, but does anyone have any suggestions for the best time to do this with the shortest wait?

Thanks :)

Either rope drop or shortly before park closing.

We did it right after FEA first opened, and we didn't even make it for rope drop. We got to the ride around 9:30-9:45am and our wait was less than 30 minutes.

I'm really hoping the PPO breakfast strategy works. I've got an 8am. I still got a FP for FEA for the afternoon but thinking I may switch it to Test Track if I feel really confident in the breakfast plan.

As long as the park hours don't change before your trip!

Oh, yes, they will and often do that!

For out just completed trip, we rode it twice--once on standby and once with FP. The standby really was not that bad. I think it was posted as 45 minutes so it was not too bad. That was around mid-day. BTW

Rope drop is what I did. Got there about 830 for 9 am opening, gates opened about 845, when I headed (not running) straight back to Frozen. the line was beginning to form (there was a CM standing outside with a sign that said "frozen line starts here" or something. This is what it looked like in front of me when I got there. I don't think you can see the sign in this pic. Then at 9 am (this was about 850), they brought the line into the regular queue. I was off the ride at 920.

Just before 9 I took this photo of what was behind me:

Early morning near rope drop the ride will be under an hour. That being said we had a fastpass for it last week but ended up not doing epcot that day. We tried to ride it standby on 2 separate days at epcot and both times it went down before we got on. So we never rode it.

Tell me about your breakfast plan... I've never done PPO or rope drop.
This trip I've got an 8:20a Akershus reservation on a day when the park opens at 9. I know that will probably NOT help us out much time wise but I'm curious about how others do it when they've got earlier reservations that are PPO. Do the restaurants/ CM let you in the park after you eat or are you kept at a roped off area still?

I've had an 8:05 reservation at Be Our Guest in a day when the Magic Kingdom opened at 9. We finished breakfast, hit the ladies room, and were outside before 8:45. There was a cast member holding a small group of people a little west of the entrance of Seven Dwarf Mine Train. After a few minutes, we were allowed to scoot through the line onto the ride. We came around and rode again and when we got off after the second ride the rope drop crowd had arrived. There are variables in place. You have to get your food in time, the ride has to be working, etc., etc. There are no guarantees. Also, as PPs have said, Disney could decide to open the park earlier. My impression is the situation at Akershus is similar with the added variable of character visits. Also, I don't imagine repeats are possible at Akershus as it's a longer ride.

What? Would they do that???
Epcot's hours are very seldom changed, unlike the other parks, whose hours change frequently. Unless you're going at Christmas or Easter, you'll probably be ok with an Epcot PPO breakfast. However, Dusney does sometimes make unexpected changes to EMH days, so you'll want to keep an eye out for that, just in case.

We're going to try riding at park closing on Friday. We've had really great success with doing that at MK, but we haven't tried at Epcot!
