what's the best Ride in Disneyland/California
going to go there next month. for the first time
what ride should i took first ?
any body has a list

:cheer2:

That is compleatly subjective.

Do you like roller coasters, do you like dark rides, do you like rides that will drop you, there are soooo many different types of rides, and so many people feel differently about what they like.

To me my top 5 would be

1. Space Mountian
2. Splash Mountian
3. California Screaming
4. Big Thunder at night
5. Pirates of the Carribian

But that's just my list

Exactly what you said. I also like soaring over california.

As far as the 'first' ride,I plan to hit Nemo Subs first. The Matterhorn is right next door. Then go from there.:confused3
I myself prefer the afore mentioned Matterhorn, PotC,Thunder, HM, and Star Tours. But that's just me. Have fun though.:thumbsup2

Oh yes,DEFINTLY do Soarin.

I think the best rides vary by the person...

like my favorite is Buzz Lightyear...

I think the "best rides" in terms of imagineering, creativity, and immersive experience are Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye at Disneyland (sure seems like you're in an ancient underground temple!) and Soarin' over California at DCA (simulated hangglider ride over California's scenic areas). Both great fun, and very different from a typical amusement park ride. And both are Fastpass attractions, so you can minimize your wait time for them by using Fastpass - though even with FP you're likely to wait at least 10 minutes because of the way they queue/load.

Ya, but the last few times I've been, the fastpass area has been closed. I figured it was a permanent closure. Cool that it's not! :woohoo:

they had the fastpass shut down when they were redoing the main enterance into the ride and the fastpass bridge...

they ended up merging the exit with the enterance... but the fastpass should be open already...

My favorites are Pirates of the Carribbean and Indiana Jones. I remember liking Space Mt, but it has been years since I've rode it (the last time we went to DL I was pregnant, and couldn't ride most of the good ones.) My 5-year old's favorite is Casey Jr. My mom's favorite (she hasn't been since the 70s) is Pirates of the Carribbean. So yes, it totally depends on the person and age/health, etc.

I agree completely. I think I'd replace Pirates with Soarin", but if you've never been there, Pirates is a must see. My DD's favorite ride is Pinocchio (and she's 16.. go figure..lol) but she also loves Tower of Terror which is one of my two least favorite rides.

My Favorites:

Splash Mountain
Pirates
Tower of Terror
BTMR
Haunted Mansion

I would hit Splash Mountain first and then work your way back. You can then get Mansion and Pirates since you are over there. Splash always has such a long line. If you hit it in the morning you should be good. Or just grab a fast pass for it in the morning. Then go to Indy, Pirates, and Thunder. Space Mountain is usually tricky. If you dont fastpass it I have found that around 5 or 6pm the wait is pretty minimal about 30-45 minutes. This was on a Saturday. But it can be tricky. Matterhorn and Nemo I would wait till later in the day. Matterhorn during fireworks or parades is a good time. However the fireworks show is amazing if you havent seen it yet so I would definately stop to watch it! Nemo....ah! Well I havent been on yet but I have been told from fellow cast members (I work at The Disney Store) that if you get in line right before the park closes (like 15 minutes before) the wait will be like 30 minutes. ;) As for California Adventure, get a fast pass for Soarin. Grizzly River Run is great! Dont miss it! California Screamin and then Tower of Terror! :scared1: Great fun! Let me know how it all works out! pirate:
