What's the best rate you've gotten at the Poly?

I was just wondering what's the best rate you've every gotten for a stay at the Poly? How did you receive this great rate? We are planning on staying there in Nov 2009 and I would like to try and get the best deal possible. THANKS!

Like this thread too....This'll be our third year in a row going going in October. Frist year we stayed at Value (Pop), last year we stayed at Moderate (POFQ) and I'd LOVE to talk my mom into a Deluxe! I'd LOVE to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge, but I think I'd have better chance talking her into Poly:thumbsup2

Our best ever rate was the 2003 fairytale package ($2311 for 7 nights GVC including park hoppers). But recently, I just booked at 30% off bounceback rate of $238 plus tax for august. I think others have done better, but I thought that was pretty good. Its still kind of expensive though and am considering switching part of the reservation to POFQ.

I would love to get it for that price! Hopefully I can get some sort of deal for my dates.

These are the best rates we've gotten (all GV):

2001 - $179/night - AP Rate
2002 - $184/night - General Code
2003 - Fairytale Package - Pay for 4 nights+tix get 3 nights+tix free

I don't remember what we paid in 2004 and 2006 but I think we got some kind of Disney Visa package deal each year. Obviously not very memorable rates like 2001, 2002 and 2003!

Super GREAT deal in August 2007, 3 adults with tax 167.00 a night! The only way I could afford to stay there was because of the deal I got. To be honest I wouldn't really pay over $200.00 with tax to ever stay there. It's just not worth it IMO.

Good luck.

I saved over $700+ last November with a general code that came out (no pin needed). We had a Garden View room and stayed 6 nights, not sure what the discount % actually was.

This year we're booked with a 20% discount (thanks to a pin code my mom received via email), but still hoping for an even bigger discount to come out after summer. If not, I'll gladly stay with the current 20% discount we got. Originally booked at rack rate and was able to apply the discount when she received it.

WOW! I'm getting even more hopeful that I can get good deal for my Nov 2009 trip.

We received a 40% off postcard Dec 07 and booked 3 trips with it, one was for August at the Poly garden view room for $202 a night including tax

We booked the Poly in October of 07 and I got a Disney Visa code and ended up saving 1000.00 for the 9 nights there. We are returning in Oct of 09 and I am hoping for some of the same. I loooove the Poly!:cloud9:

We have a trip to Disney planned for a week during Thanksgiving. However, due to the economy, I thougt we might have to cancel but thanks to the earlier posts I am starting to think that maybe we might get lucky and receive a code.

I think the chances of getting a code for Thanksgiving week are very slim...Disney doesn't need to discount the busiest weeks because they will be packed no matter what. Every discount I've ever received was for off-peak times, and I never hear of discounts being offered over the holidays.

See my signature -- we've always gotten a discount code, including peak Easter/Spring Break week back in 2005. Each time we started with a AAA rate, which's better than rack but still small, and then wound up modifying our existing reservation when the better discount code came out (either general public or AP, which the AP discount being good enough to justify buying the AP just for that one year's trip).

It was packed, packed, packed at the parks during Easter holiday '05, but they still offered discounts at the Poly., so OP, keep your fingers crossed and keep reading these boards for postings!:thumbsup2

Oh, as far as how much we saved, it was always around $90/night off rack (remember you also save on those steep taxes), so ~ $600 for our 6 night stays (or approximately 6 nights for the price of 4).
