What's the best mouse trap?

HI Dis friends,


No I'm not talking about Mickey.

I have a farm behind us and for the past week, late at night, I've been hearing little squeaks and noises and poop (gross). We have three mouse traps set out, the plastic gray ones with peanut butter adhere to it. But not one is set off!

OK, we're going to switch to something else. Any suggestions for a guaranteed kill. I don't want to use the niblets cuz I have a newborn and I don't want to find a decompose mouse bones behind my refrig. or something.

We had good success (the one and only time we had a mouse) with a regular old-fashioned snap trap.

I've heard the glue ones are BAD -- the mouse survives long enough to try to free himself, and it can be gory.

The old fashioned traps work best..the wooden ones. Just add a dab of peanut butter. I also use green squares of poison. You'll see them at all the home improvement stores.

With my own little chicken ranch going on at my house, you can imagine the problems I've had with rats & mice. First off, those little plastic traps only work on tiny mice. Second off, those electric shocker traps don't seem to work at all. The only thing that's worked perfectly for me is "One Bite". It comes in a bar and you put it into their hole, I shove it under the coop where the dogs can't get to it. It makes them leave the area and go towards water, so they don't die in the house (or under the coop). The rats got so bold here last Spring that I opened the coop door and one was eating out of the feed hopper. The darn thing had the nerve to look me right in the eye and then turn around and continue eating!!!! That's when I started using "one bite". EWWWWW

the old style ones that have been around for years...we used aplastic one last time and I hears a SNAP in the kitchen...then I hear something moving around, being dragged around....the darn thing snapped on the mouse but didn't kill it...now I close the bedroom door and try to figure out my next move...I call my neighbor who comes over with a shovel and I figure -great he is going to scoop it up and throw it out......well then I head bashing going on in my kitchen on my new porcelain floor! Then I hear..."do you have any paper towels, theres some blood out here"......ugg uggg uggg....I had to wash the floor with bleach before I could go to sleep!! Moral of the story is PLASTIC ONES STINK!!! LOL....
