whats the 1 thing you don't leave home without (family & rv excluded...lol)

Totally OT, but beagles are my favorite! I have a beagle mix myself, and theose darn brown eyes getcha everytime! Would love to see a pic of your beagle :)

Sadly, cameras and flashlights freak Mickey out. The sight of either turns him into Kujo, so we have only a couple of poor pictures of him. Otherwise, he is a good member of society.

Key's to the RV-haven't done it yet but it's my fear-ONE DAY it will happen

We went to a friends vacation home in PA..which was a good 3 hours from our home, when we got there we realized we had left the keys he gave us to the house back home. Lucky for us..he had a key hidden that we were able to use. Since that experience...I put a key to the trailer on my key ring for the truck...it's always there. I do have an extra set I keep in the center console of the truck also.

I agree with loriandmatt I have a trailer full of everything we have forgotten before. Didn't realize how much stuff we had accumulated until last year when we traded our trailer in for a new one. DH and I spent over an hour unloading stuff from the old trailer to the new trailer! However, I now don't worry so much when we set out for our Christmas holiday at FW because I know we have everything we need in the trailer. As for our park passes I keep those in my Disney purse and as a women I never forget my purse when I'm leaving home! This last year I purchased a small gas barbeque and a coffeemaker from Wal-Mart. By the end of our first week at FW they had more than paid for themselves. The Dollar Stores are great for buying small sizes of cleaning supplies and toiletries. I just re-fill them before we leave and this has also saved us money with not having to purchase these items at FW. The most important thing to remember before you leave for a two day hual to Florida with your three children is a sense of humour, earplugs and extra strength headache meds.!LOL!

With 2 teenagers someone is going to forget something no matter how much disneymom and I harrass them. We shop at the Publix and found their prices pretty reasonable so we dont sweat it.
Plus they have beer ! :cool1:

thanks everyone for all the suggestions..

we are so close to being "all set" the kids are packing their duffles now with a modified list that I found on here somewhere

my dh has an extra set of camper keys on his set so we're okay there. I've got our waterpark ap's and chad's ap packed but the girls and I have to buy ours there as well as picking up our DDE card.

I hit the dollar tree yesterday and spent a whooping $70 but got all kinds of goodies. lots of cute decorating Easter stuff...

one thing I am considering bringing but I'm not sure its necessary is a folding table, its a square card table. is this something that'll I'll be glad I bought?

here's another question, what do you guys do for bug control? I was going to pick up some cintronella candles but realized open flames are a no-no. So instead I bought some coil rings that look like a burner on an electric stove. And some kind of sticky bug catcher...also lots of spray stuff.

we'll I have tons of work to do before we leave I better get off here ..you guys are Awesome :worship:

I've never really had much of a problem with bugs at FW. They are pretty good about spraying for mosquitoes and such. I don't think the Citronella candles are off limits since they sell them at the Trading Posts. They don't allow the Tiki Torches, etc.

I agree with Ftwildernessguy...not much need for you own pest control. Disney does a great job!

When we tent camp, a tarp for under the tent is essential. Keeps the tent nice and clean and the mositure out.

I agree bugs aren't a big problem at FW, but I always have some stuff anyway. If you take a backpack or some type of bag to the parks throw it in there because mosquitoes do come out around dusk (bug population is worse in some places than others).

As far as the table - there are picnic tables at your campsite, so you really won't need a table. We do take a couple of small folding side tables to put around our chairs for when we are sitting out relaxing.

Happy Camping!

I don't leave home without a shoebox sized container that has medicine and first aid kind of supplies in it. QUOTE]

I forgot to mention my favorite find last year, I was looking for Off! repellent and found it in individual wipes. The packets look like the hand wipes you get at a BBQ restaurant, you can toss a couple of those in your fanny pack or backback and not have to carry around a spray canister of it. We never use an entire bottle in a season anyway, so the individual ones are perfect for us.

While searching for the Off wipes, I found this webpage with travel sized stuff if anyone's interested in checking it out:

Here's the Off stuff, click on Family Care, they're called towelettes.

I hear ya with the $12/6 packs.... It's enough to make me quit drinking..

well, maybe not.... just makes me pack more. I wanted to sell some guy in the store some of my beer, I would have sold it for $10/6 pack.

The one thing we never leave home without is our Along the I-75 book by Dave Hunter even though we have driven that stretch from London to Disney many many times we always love having this book with us each year there is a new addition and we get it every year. We also get the along Floridas expressways.

I have to go along on that one!::scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Thank god i know where the nearest publix is!

the only problem with the Publix is that I think their cans are defective !
seems shortly after I open it, all the beer is gone and I have to open another one :thumbsup2

see, you pay with your Amex card and then return the defective cans to Publix for a replacement.

my camera...im a HUGE photography buff and if i forgot my camera on my trip to WDW, i would turn that car ALL the way back to NC if i have to! LoL! the whole 10 to 12 hours......couldnt live w/o it! LoL, well, that and my cellphone! always need that!

Sleep masks! A necessity for tent camping in the Florida sun. A few years ago after our 1st night of sleeping at the Fort, we found some at the Settlement Trading Post. We are night owls (quiet night owls :thumbsup2 ) so we are late sleepers. Now we don't leave home without them.
