Can someone tell me what that absolutely intoxicating smell is when you walk into the Poly?
Can you buy it anywhere?
It kind of reminds me of the Pixiedust fragrance sold at the Disney store.
If only I could make my house smell so nice.

Chlorine and tropical plants. :rotfl2: I'm serious. Every time we go to WDW we stop at the Poly just to smell it. I love the smell of the lobby. Every time I am in a pool area that has tropical plants if I close my eyes I can pretend that I'm at the Poly.

It used to be chlorine and tropical plants during our August trip, loved it :goodvibes. But when we were there in March the lobby had a new fragrance which I didn't like at all. Some people like the new scent but I think it smells articial and too perfumey. I miss the old Poly scent! :guilty:

I noticed the change too. The main lobby used to smell of pineapple coconut bread or something but now it's artificial.

I know many if not most of the WDW resorts have that Scent Aire stuff, but it would REALLY behoove them to make air fresheners of each resort wouldn't it?!?!? I'd buy them! I think they have been doing some good moves back into marketing and making more thngs we want to buy lately :thumbsup2. That's great for people like us that love shopping there. Those new air fresheners are a good start which is why I thought sicne they are already doing them, they could easily do one for each of the resorts they deliberately scent. pixiedust:

You can buy some of the resort scents here: Enviroscent

You have to do a search and find out what resort has what smell because they aren't labeled as "Disney Scents" on the Enviro site but you can also check their parent site ScentAir and try to figure out the Poly scent too. Maybe email someone at the Poly and ask what scent they use?

I know I've seen people here on DIS post what they use from there. Even w/i the last year. I don't have time to search but if you searched w/ some of those criteria from the quoted post, you might find it. I know I've seen peple say what the ones were at the Poly and BC. I've seen the actual machines at the Dolphin, though I don't know what they were using. Aromatherapy is vastly underrated ad underused in the world. Thankfully Disney has it dialed in. :goodvibes

I see the green tea and aloe mentioned for a few resorts but I never could find what the Poly used. I'm sure someone will chime in with that information though....oh and someone said that the Enviroscents site only had the large machine now, which is 199.00 for the kid (machine and refills). BUT that if you do a search online you might find the smaller one they used to sell for around 50.00 that only scents 1 room.

Seemed like i remember smelling gardenia when we were there. Whatever it was it was amazing!

Excuse me but we personally have stayed at the Poly for most of our Disney vacations. :snooty: And when weren't staying at Poly we usually stay at Beach or Yacht club. You're just rude! How do you know where people can afford to stay? Nothing wrong with enjoying the scent of the lobby of our favorite resort. Maybe you should go post on some more yard sale threads.

Wow, I hope YOU'RE joking.

Wow, I hope YOU'RE joking.

Do you think they were joking when they made a comment about everyone on this thread not being able to afford Poly? I'm not joking about the fact that THEIR comment is very rude! But I probably shouldn't have bothered commenting back.:goodvibes

Is this little tift in regards to my original post on here? Because if it is, someone read waaaaaaaaay too far into that because it was a joke and everyone else seemed to get it.

I got the joke too and it was funny :)

I however didn't get the 'joke' that the reply poster was trying to convey by saying if you can't afford to stay at the Poly that you somehow fit in to some 'yard sale' category of people. Now that was a bit rude......to people who enjoy yard sales and to people who can't afford the Poly.
