What's open for food at midnight?

We've changed our upcoming reservations at Portofino Bay to 12/5 fom 12/6 and will be flying out late the evening of 12/5 from Boston to Orlando. As we will be rushing from work to get to the airport, and Delta only gives you a nibble of something at best, we will probably be looking for a light meal (salad or something) when we arrive around midnight.

Is there 24 hour room service at Portofino? What about anything over at citywalk? (although, after traveling we generally are just ready to crash!)

Thanks! We're getting excited about Portofino and universal and we were thrilled when we called a week ago and we were able to add another night at the entertainment rate of $170 for a bay view room...although we did have to change our bed type from king to queen for the three nights, but no biggie for us. Maybe we'll be lucky and get an upgrade when we arrive! But sounded like they were fairly full for the weekend.

Thanks for the help!

i would think so. if not, there's always a dennys nearby :p

If I remember right, there is a 24 hour IHOP, Denny's, and McDonald's on I-Drive. As a matter of fact, I believe there is a 24 hour McDonald's in the Kirkman area.

PBH does have 24 hr rooms service but it's very exensive. I ordered off the breakfast menu as a treat while the husband and kids were out it was over 20 bucks for just plain scrabbles eggs toast bacon type of a breakfast. I just called them at 11:57 to get there delivery times and they offered to take my order.LOL Anyways there hours for that thursday will be until 12a.m. for Friday and saturday 1 a.m. You will love there food! I usually get off work at Universal around midnight and I always head over to the Ale House and pick up a Chef Salad to take home. There open till 2 and it's right at Kirkman and Vineland. Which is directly across the street from PBH

The bar in the lobby of HRH has pizza, chicken fingers, and other bar type food available till 2am.

When we're in a situation like that, we usually pick up something to eat on our way to the airport or at the airport and eat it on the plane. I see a LOT of people these days bringing their own food aboard the planes since they stopped serving real meals.

Yes, there is 24 hour room service at Portofino....we just stayed there a week ago and there definately is, I had to use it.

Depending on when you're there, you might find a "grazing menu" at Margaritaville.

If Hard Rock Cafe (in CityWalk, NOT the hotel) is open at midnight, that would be my pick for the midnight munchies.

Cheap route: bring some sandwiches, fruit, yoghurt and water on the plane with you.

Expensive route: call PBH from the Orlando airport and tell them you're on the ground. Ask for room service to leave food in your room so it'll be there when you arrive. You could call the front desk and ask if that's possible.

Oooh, What a great idea! Why didn't I think of that? I just may try this out at RPR on my upcoming visit.

Thanks for all the great suggestions....certainly won't go hungry!! (need that energy for hitting the parks the next morning!)

Thanks again!
