I love to sit outside and read when its cooler or sit inside when its too hot

So far I have on my list Ireland and several others :)

How about you?

I have the 6th book in the Harry Potter series that has been sitting on my shelf awhile (since it came out). With all the hype of the 7th book and Harry possibly dying, I think I will read it. My dad gave me a book also that I want to get to, "A Crowning Mercy" by Bernard Cornwell, heard it is TERRIFIC! Just finished the "Secret Life of Bees", pretty good. Just hard for me to find time to read for leisure with all my schoolwork, guess I answered my own question, I'll mostly be reading education text books this summer! :confused3

I just got an email from Amazon telling me that the new Marcia Muller mystery "Vanishing Point" is on its way to me--yippee! I usually get my mysteries at the library but this was a fun little splurge for me. :goodvibes

Just finished A Painted House by John Grisham and am in the middle of re reading The Hiding Place.
:sunny: Ahh summer!

I just finished "Mirror, Mirror" by Gregory Maguire and I loved it! Last week I read "Roccoco" by Adriana Trigiani and then before that I read "The Mermaid Chair" by Sue Monk Kidd and then before that I read "Island of the Sequined Love Nun" by Christopher Moore.

I'm thinking of picking up another book or two before I go to the beach, maybe another Gregory Maguire novel or "The Devil Wears Prada".

All the 'chick lit' authors I've gotten into the past few years have books out.

Marian Keyes, Katie MacAllister and Meg Cabot-so I've got some reading. I think it's going to take all summer to even get to read them all-just too busy! :)

Suzanne

I'm re-reading To Kill a Mockingbird right now. After I'm done, I'm going to try East of Eden again. I started it, but got really bored and quit. Then I'm going to read Gone With the Wind.

Just finished:

Night Listener by Armistead Maupin. Inspired to read this because of the upcoming movie based on this book. Robin Williams stars.

Working on:

The World Is Flat: A Brief History of the Twenty-first Century by Thomas L. Friedman. Fascinating, but slow read.

Manhunt : The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln's Killer by James L. Swanson.
a meticulously detailed work.

Best Read yet this summer:
Marley & Me : Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog by John Grogan
simply wonderful.

Gone With The Wind is really good- have a box of tissues nearby.

I will be reading The Sex Lives of Cannibals on our cruise next week. Also got the newest Ya Ya Sisterhood book.

Something is wrong with this picture..I just graduated and don't start my full time job until august. I should be out every night...instead, I'm attached to the hip by my cpa book.

Thank god my bf keeps me sane.

Shall I get the book out and add some excerpts here for all to enjoy...or share in my pain.

Well at least you have a job lined up for you. I've been out of school for almost 7 months now and no job prospects on the horizon. I'm basically sit at home all day with my dogs and the dis and probably the reason I've read that many books in the past month.

But back On Topic- Has Anyone read Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister or Wicked? I'm trying to decide which one to get next.
