i'm excited. i'm finally going to disney in january after 'having' to go to universal the last few years. can anyone tell me what is new or what is not to miss in the last few years? thanks, but i'm not interested in misson space.

Not sure when you went last, but here are a few things from the last few years that are newer:

MK: Mickey's PhilharMagic
Stitch's Great Escape
Pirates of the Caribbean added some Jack Sparrow things

Epcot: Nemo in the Living Seas
Soarin

MGM: Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show

Animal Kingdom: Expedition Everest

They now have a stationary ride vehicle, so if you wanted to try it but were afraid of feeling off, you just get the show.

i have not seen any of the things you mentioned. i had to think back and it's been 5 years since i've been there.....we were there 2 weeks after 9/11.
can't wait to see all the new attractions!!
so.......anyone can go to the mission space and not spin and get sick???
i just read where splash mountain closes for rehab the day we get there. that was my favorite!! oh well, maybe i'll find a new favorite

Hey there.

Well, if you haven't been in the last five years, there may be even newer things...but I don't know for sure.

Magic Kingdom
They've changed the parade at MK, at least a little since 2003 (no more globes)
Philharmagic is a must.
It's a Small World was cleaned up nice.
There is a new Mike and Sully Comedy Club where Timekeeper used to be (I think it is/will be open soon)
The show in front of the castle is different.

Epcot
Soarin is amazing
Turtle Talk with Crush
Living Seas with Nemo
Figment is different (but this may have been changed since before 2001)

MGM
Rock n' Roller Coaster (been on that?)
Have you seen Fantasmic (don't know when that came about)

Animal Kingdom
Expedition Everest
Finding Nemo musical (should be open in January)

Have fun!! We are going in January too! :Pinkbounc

thanks for your help everyone. does anyone know what website i can go to to read about these new attractions? i pride myself in knowing everything about disney before the trip. (we used to go every year) i would hate for my husband or daughter to ask a question and the 'disney know it all' not know the answer

Hey there. I understand the being planned thing. Most of us on here are pretty crazy when it comes down to it.

For information about each of the parks and the attractions try here . This website in general is pretty good.

Also, www.disneyworld.com also has info about the rides.

Right here on the DIS under Theme Parks is really nice too (up at the top of each page)!

Have a great time!
