Whats longer , your parents relationship or your longest relationship?

not knowing how long mom and dad dated I'm going to estimate a year at most (ww2 and all tended to speed courtships up) which added to their years of marriage until dad passed would be 42 years.

dh and I began dating in 1988 so we are at 37 years.

It would be DH and I. My parents were married 25 years when my mom died of cancer at 57. My DH and I were married for 45 years when he passed suddenly.

My parents celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary this year and dated for several years before that. (My husband and I celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary, and together almost 33 years.)

My mom has been married 3 times. Longest 15 years.

So I'm tied in my first marriage at 15 years but will beat that come January.

My wife and I have been married 43 years.
My parents were married two months short of 17 years when my dad passed away. What would have been their 75th Anniversary was two weeks ago.
My wife's parents were married 12 years when they got divorced.
The longest lasting marriage on my side of the family that I know of is 65 years.
The longest lasting marriage on my wife's side of the family that we know of ...... beside ours...... is 26 years

My parents. They were married for over 50 years, so far hubby and I are at 32.

My parents relationship. They started dating when she was 16 and he was 21. They were married in 1957. They're currently 89 & 94, live in a huge old New England Farmhouse on 3 acres, and pretty much do everything themselves. We all go over and help with spring/fall clean-up and moving the pellets for the pellet stove into the basement for them, but other than really major things, like replacing part of the roof, they do all their own maintenance.

Met DW September 1956 in 1st grade and only had a *same schools and sometimes same classes* relationship. A chance meeting 4 years after HS Graduation in May1972, unbelievably happened, married June 1973. Number 52 is history and working on 53.
