From what I've read its just the main course, veggies and white rice.

I'm used to several teppanyaki places around the country. Every one of them includes soup, salad, veggies and rice with each dinner entree. Some of them depending on what you order may also include tea and ice cream.

For an extra charge most have fried rice instead of white.

So whats included with dinner at Teppan Edo? I'm sure lunch maybe different.

Is fried rice available at extra charge?

Any limitations on what one recieves if on the dining plan?

EDIT NOTE: Topic should have read 'Whats included with meal at Teppan Edo. Keyboard must have made a mistake!

Have also heard that dinner portions are rather small. Any other teppanyaki place I'm always stuffed!

With your entree you will get vegetables (I've eaten there a dozen times and it's always zuchinni and onions) udon noodles and white rice. I think you can upgrade your white to fried for a small fee. We've never encountered a restriction now that they have removed lobster from the menu. I don't really think the portions are small and we are big eaters. I will say the garden salad for 5.95 is in a small bowl and it's just lettuce and dressing and now that Marie's make the Asian dressing, I just make it at home and skip it there. We think the food is really good and eat there almost every trip. I will give it a big :thumbsup2.

Trying it for the first time in October but from the tons of reviews i've read and pics i've seen they don't do fried rice as that is chinese not japenese. Veggies are mushrooms, onions and zucchini (or courgette to me in England!).

So you get veggies, steak (or chicken/shrimp), white rice and noddles for an entree. Dessert is chocolate ginger cake, green tea pudding or ice cream. You'd get all this and a drink for 1 TS credit.

. . . no fried rice options available
. . . if you wish, add some soy sauce to the rice

. . . not as long as it on the menu at Edo

. . . let's say middle of the roaad
. . . smaller than Benihana
. . . also, no soup or appy
. . . still decent size for most folks

Overall how does it compare to Bennihanas or at Kobes near DTD?

We are used to Benihanas or Kobes where you get shrimp appetizer (just a few pieces), soup, salad, entree, white rice and veggies and with some meals tea and ice cream. Thats why we end up stuffed and feel we get a very good value.

It would appear Teppan Edo has smaller portions, no appetizer, no soup and no salad included. So whats the draw here to look forward to? Only reason I made an ADR is because the kids love the teppanyaki experience more so than the food itself.

The kids should enjoy it, mine do. Good food, fun experience.
Was just at Teppan Edo in June on regular DDP, we got a soup a choice of entree whitch came with white rice & udon noodles, zucchini & onions. And you also get a dessert. You can request more rice if you like, the soy sauce is good but don't over do it. To me the portions are kind of small. I usually order the fried Gyoza (dumplings) appetizer (not on the DDP) and I recomend the premium Saki sampler to those who endulge they are served cold to room temp, I enjoyed each one (not on the DDP).
I liked it, I've been there a few times and I would go back.
