I'm still not clear and how is it different from Discover Atlantis? I want to tour Nassau and Atlantis but I'm not sure whether to go on my own or book an excursion.

Oh and is The Dig the same as the Aquarium or are they 2 separate things? I've heard they charge $25 pp and then I hear someone was able to walk through for free.

Please clarify for me. :goodvibes

My DH and I did this excursion on our first cruise. I personally recommend to do it on your own. Our tour guide was ok - seemed bored. Some of our group wanted to really study some the exhibits in the "dig" and she didn't wait for them - she just went on ahead, so I couldn't even really tell anyone the story of Atlantis.

We are going back to the Bahamas this Nov.- not on a cruise. So, we'll probably check out Atlantis again. Of course, we cannot afford to stay there - BUT we are staying at the new hotel which is a parking lot away called RIU which is all inclusive. The nice thing is you get to use some of the facilities on the Atlantis property. My co-worker stayed there when it first opened last Dec. and she raves about it.

Oh and a tip on Nassau - it's not nearly as nice as Paradise Island. All the shops close around 5PM because of the level of crime. Bring your own water from the ship. Stay on Bay Street and stick with the shops on the Navigator.
