Hi all! My name is Kerri. I've been tossing around the idea of a trip report for quite some time now. So I've finally decided to give it a go. My situation is a little funky so I guess I'll just get that part out of the way now!
I'm married to my best friend, Jim! He's the best! We've been married for 14 years...no kids. Well 2 fur kids named Holly and Huey, they are from the same litter. Perhaps I'll post a pic later! So the funky part...I was laid off back in 2008...started a business that same year...sold out to my partner (we didn't get along as well as I thought). Now as time went on I fell into a pretty deep depression (I've fought this most of my life). Recently I was diagnosed with a number of yucky things...Panic Disorder, Anxiety Disorder...and the icing on the cake: Bipolar II. Now that is something I never expected to be told. It's been hard to refer to myself as having that. I just need to remember that it doesn't define me. So I've been receiving therapy for 7 months now and I'm on the way to sorting this thing out. Oh, and this is us!
I think it's important to start with that because it does affect our touring style and how I am going to feel day to day (Jimmy is a flippin' saint, I swear). We took a trip down to the world in December of last year. For the most part it was ok...quite overwhelming and I felt horrible that I wasn't totally into it. Afterall, it's my favorite place on earth.
Well, this time I am determined to make it an enjoyable trip for the both of us!! I will admit that I am not as nervous and anxious as last time and I am actually looking forward to it!
OK...enough of the YUCK! Onto the fun stuff!
We are leaving on Friday April 27th and coming home on Tuesday May 6th. Because we are so close to our departure I decided to skip the pre-trip report and just start with a trip report. We are flying out of TF Green airport in Providence, RI and flying into MCO. The first 2 days of the trip were actually a late add on...so we do have a bit of a resort switch up early on. Our first resort will be Boardwalk Villas (studio) and the second resort will be Beach Club. We are DVC owners and it's one of the best decisions we've ever made! Here are some pics around the resorts that I've taken over the years.
