What's in the Fire Station?

I somehow didn't even notice it the last time we were there, how I'm not sure! Is there anything in it? Can you go inside? DH is a firefighter, he'd love to go in...

It's a gift shop (what a surprise, huh???). There are some really cute firefighter Mickey items in the store, so you might want to check it out!

Thanks for the quick replies! I shouldn't be surprised that it's a gift shop, but maybe we will find some things, my younger brother is also a firefighter (volunteer), so maybe they'll have a Chrismtas gift for him!

Its a gift shop but it also has a nice dedication to Fire Departments all over! They have patches from fire departments.

Actually, there is a patch for the Hagerman Fire Department (That is a volunteer fire house on Long Island in NY.) There is a name on it Lt. Andrew Desperito

That is my uncle. He was also a NYC Fire fighter and he lost his life on 9-11.

Every trip I have to go in and see it! It really is a great tribute to fire fighters all over the country!

bigbabyblues, I am LOL right now! I totally thought that you meant the real fire houses, not the one on Main Street! I was thinking to myself "uh, fire trucks!?!?"

NickUnited - that's wonderful that they would honor your uncle, as well as other fallen heroes, like that; as well as those still risking their lives every day for us. I'm going to have to check this place out when I'm there...

When you first walk into the park - before you hit the Emporium - its on the right! Its hard to see!

If you're up for a drive, take the road from Old Key West to DTD past Saratoga Springs. You'll see the Reedy Creek Fire Department building. It's quite neat - I'll post a pic as soon as I get home tonight. It's a working FD building but Disneyfied!
