Hey we are still not tied to school holidays so have been checking different dates. the 28th march for 2 nights is coming up very reasonable so just wondered if anyones been this sort of time??
I went the end of March last year. It was sunny and cool - I had brought a lot of cold weather gear but only needed a jacket. I had heard March weather was unpredictable so thought it best to be prepared. The weather was really great and very low crowds.
We've been twice in March (2004 and 2010) and both times we've been so lucky with the weather!! It was t-shirts/light jacket weather on both occasions. However the week before we went this year there were below freezing conditions so we packed for every eventuality and wound up bringing 2/3rds of our clothes back unworn! You really do need to pack for everything!
Queues wise it was ok, most things were under half hour with the exception of the usuals... Dumbo and Crush (luckily with 2 toddlers we weren't fussed about crush anyway) The friday we left was very busy though so I'd still advise going in the weekwhich it looks like you will be anyway.
I love going in March and will do so again! We timed it (unknowingly) perfectly for St Patricks Day this year which was fab! If you can go then I'd recommend it as it's one of the few dates outside of the summer that you'll get to see fireworks.
The only downside with March is that the years festivities (ie New Generation this year) come to an end in early March and the next festival doesn't start until April so you can end up missing out on a few shows and events as there's not so much on. We didn't mind so much this time as we had St Patricks Day but if you really want to see shows/festivities another month would be advisable.
We went the week 9th March 2010 and the weather didn't go above freezing for 3 days..! and it felt it to.... the lake was frozen over, the kids still loved it and the park was very quiet....

We went on the 15th so it was your week I was referring to and packed jumpers, hoodies and big coats and didn't wear any of it! We heard it was -5c over there and packed pretty much EVERYTHING! Wound up being about 17/18c and DD was quite happy wearing just her princess dresses! Just goes to show what a mixed bag March can be.
