The following is for all of you numbers freaks who can't get enough numbers.
I've gone back through the BLT declarations and recorded deeds available from the Orange County Comptroller website and have updated and revised data regarding the units, declared and undeclared, and the associated points and Use years for the units. This data reflects the BLT Declaration #9 that was filed on 7/20/2009 with OCC.
The table below updated on 7/28/2009 to reflect new deeds and to reclassify Units 01a and 01b as undeclared

The term "unit" does not mean a separate
DVC accommodation, such a GV or 2-bedroom villa. DVD is declaring BLT to the DVC in phases. They have designated 92 phases for BLT. Each phase has two or three units, and each unit has one or two two-bedrooms villas, or one Grand Villa. For example, Phase 14 has unit 14a, with two two-bedroom villas in it, and unit 14b, with one two-bedroom villa in it. The number of points assigned to each unit is dependent on the square footage of the villas in the unit. A unit with one two-bedroom has about 19,640 points assigned to it. A unit with two two-bedrooms has about 39,280 points assigned to it. A unit with a Grand Villa has about 34,975 assigned to it. Each floor from the 4th to the 12th has 17 units and accounts for 432,080 points.
The UY for the declared units were confirmed by looking at recorded deeds on the OCC website. The 25 units with "unknown" UY are units that have been declared but have yet to have a deed recorded.
Based on this data, it looks like BLT will have over 5.8 million points. If DVD keeps 2%, it still leaves 5.7 million that could be sold to the DVC.
It also looks like February will be the most common UY. Even if not a single undeclared unit is assigned to February, over 26% of the points will have a February UY once BLT is sold out. I reread the BLT Declaration of Condominium, and I can't see where it says that points HAVE to be equally distributed among the UY.
One final thing: It looks like I have waaaaaay too much time on my hands.
As DVD makes more declarations, and more deeds are recorded, we'll be able to update and revise these numbers.
