What's Everyone Paying for Rental Car for President's Week?

Hi - We are going from Feb 14 -25th and I have a full size booked with national for $306 including taxes. I used the priceless vacation code, but can't seem to find any coupons that are good past Dec. 05.

Just curious as to what others think of this rate? To me it sounds very high since I paid $107 for the same number of days this past June. But...I also realize it is President's Week.

Guess I'll keep digging and waiting for the 2006 coupon codes to come out.

Any suggestions for lowering this rate would be greatly appreciated.

I think that sounds pretty good since you are going for so many days. We have been looking for mini-vans from the 18th-24th and it will cost us that much after taxes.

That is a very good rate. I am rentng from National full size 2/16-2/25 and got a rate of 316.00 with tax. We go every year and a full size for that many days is a good rate.

we are going from Feb.21-March 3rd. The best we found was $259 for a mid SUV through alamo. We have it reserved but My dh would prefer a full size car so we will keep our eyes out for the 2006 codes to come out.

I just tried your code but it's $349.16 for a full size. So for now we'll stick with an SUV for$259. If anyone gets more codes please post. Thanks.

I know the one time I reated over that week it was very expensive, but my suggestion is to book early.... They sell out that time of the year. You can alwyas cancel if you find a better deal

Using Costco website, I booked with Alamo from MCO for 2/11 to 2/20 and will be paying $241.81 for a std. SUV. It would be cheaper if I used DME and picked up at CCC or Dolphin Hotel. But we are staying at French Quarter so it would be a slight hassle to pick up at the Dolphin.

Well...I was just able to lower my full size rate for the 14th -25th (11 days) from $306 with National to $289 with Dollar using the MAG code. So....I guess I will just keep checking the rates. The last couple of times National has turned out to be a lot lower for us....so I can't wait for the 2006 coupon codes to come out. Such a challenge.....

I just used the priceless code for Feb. 15 -24 (9 days) for $245.

I forgot to add that was for a full size car.
