Whats cheap and close to POP resort?

Hi, my family is flying in from WI - only have a 3 night stay - want to make the best of all of it at the POP resort. I am having a hard time finding a flight that comes in early - so we were thinking maybe we will find another hotel/motel close for the day before - but we need something really cheap - we would proabbly just take a late flight and sleep, then get up and get to the pop somehow (taxi?)

We were told we could get the park tickets at 9am I think, is that correct? and check in time was 11am?

We might end up staying an extra night too, just so we dont miss anything with flights leaving too early.

I do believe check OUT time is 11am and check IN time is 3pm

If you are going to have to take a taxi to another motel from the airport and then a taxi to POP, you are better off just to stay at POP the entire time so that you can use Magical Express for transportation from the airport.

I would love to stay at Pop, but they told me nothing was available ect.
I have seen prices for other hotels around the area for 25$, no?

Hot and Humid!

Are you getting a package with FREE dining? If so, that's probalby why they are not showing availability. The Values were all pretty much sold out with FREE dining. Call back and ask for a Room Only for that 1-night at Pop? It might just be available. You would have to go down the next morning and check out and check back in and you could even have to move to another room but at least you're already on property.

By the way, I believe you can check in and get your room key with your tickets and your dining as early as 7am but actual check in is not until 3pm.

You can check in and get your park tickets etc. as early as 7 AM. If your room is not ready (Most Likely) you can check all of your baggage with Bell Services and head out to the Parks. They give you a number to call during the afternoon to see if your room is ready. When it is ready they give you the room number and you can head straight to your room, no need to go back to the check in desk.
I would look into the possibility of adding a room only at the POP too. The cost of transportation to an off site motel and then to POP the next morning may negate any savings of staying off site. ME will take you directly to WDW for free.

KEEP CALLING. Chances are good something will open up. Be flexible for another value resort as well. Is PP posters ahve said, i think you are better off to stay on property. Reviews for some of those cheap hotels have been pretty scary.

You can book a hotel near MCO, use the free shuttle to get back to MCO and use DME. Even with PL you'll pay around $50.

Clean hotels cost more then $25. POP isn't going to cost that much more then a clean hotel off site.

even in Sept you are looking early for the $25 hotels.

you would have to wait until the last minute.

so I would try for any value resort hotel on WDW property.

otherwise you will have to pay for transportation to your hotel. Unless you do what Lewis explained and get a hotel close to the airport that provides transportation.

you would use its transportation that night to get to offsite hotel. the next morning you would go back to the airport (again using the hotel's free transportation) and take DME then.

you can check in at 6:30 am - if you have brought your tickets and they are on your room ID - you can go to the parks as soon as they open.

that say you may not get a room until 4:00pm - value resorts take longer.

i did call back to see if I could get POP for another day, even without dining and the operator told me no, nothing was available -- I just hate to waste good time at the parks (for the plane ride there -and the day we leave) I hope I can find something cheap enough - we wont be there long
