What's better than a honeymoon? TWO Honeymoons! 8/30 57 hours/13 months to go!

That picture of your DF posing with the trash can is too funny! It's not Push either. :rotfl2:

Your wedding is so close! With spring comes weddings. :lovestruc I have a shower to go to this weekend and another in a few weeks. Just enjoy every minute of everything. I still get butterflies in my stomach when I think about my wedding and honeymoon. :)

Not PUSH, just some random trash can. I asked Ben and he doesn't even remember doing it...

I am loving this pre-wedding time! So far things have been pretty smooth and no major problems to tackle. I know it'll be over too soon, so I am trying to enjoy it while it lasts! I REALLY can't wait to get to Jamaica!

Ooooh, I love your headpiece- it's so pretty! :lovestruc And how neat that it has a hidden mickey!

Yay for only one month until the wedding - I bet you are just so excited! :goodvibes

thanks! It was kind of an impulse buy, but I am happy with it (especially since it has a little Disney touch!)

Love your tiara! The HM is perfect :lovestruc
I love the spontaneity of your vacation pictures, too! You guys take the best, most off-beat pics. Love it!

I love your tiara its sooo pretty and super cool that you have a hidden Mickey too :goodvibes

Loving your recaps, the Muppet pic is really cool, is that still around?

Doing a one month dance for you :dance3: We'll save the banana for when its the single digit dance :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Thanks! Our pictures are weird... it can't be helped, we are just odd people (but only odd in the coolest way possible, of course :rotfl:) But we have lots of fun!

I don't know if the Muppet Lab is still around... it was so random and very cool. Bunsen talked and I he think interacted with people around him.

One month dance, I can't believe it!!!

I have been neglecting my PTR, and the DIS in general! My last couple of days off were actually the weekend (very rare! and my last weekend until the week before my wedding, which is my bachelorette party :woohoo:) and I was busy doing stuff with other human beings for a change.
So the wedding is looming closer. Everything is still going pretty well... with the exception of about 45 folks who have yet to RSVP (tomorrow is our RSVP date). Included in that group is one bridesmaid and a groomsmen (they're not a couple so that's 4 people right there) We know they're going, but could they just send the card back? The rest of the 45 are complete question marks. Could go either way. I hope the mailman brings me some love today!

In a WDW update, I've been playing around with ADRs a bit. I must've been pretty hungry a few days ago because I added two Kona breakfasts during our stay. I think the pre-wedding diet is getting to me... I have visions of eating Tonga Toast and Macadamia Nut pancakes all week. These would have to be paid OOP, as I've already accounted for all of our credits with the rest of our meals. We really might not do much more than eat on this trip, but from where I am sitting right now (as my stomach growls...) that is a-ok by me!

And because I want to include a picture, here is what I've been so busy doing:
shenandoah2.jpg

That's me at work with one of the dogs. Her name is Shenandoah and she is a 7 year old border collie mix. She is a sweetheart, and afraid of cameras. The only way we could get a picture of her was by me holding her. She is also available for adoption, if anyone in MA is looking... (can't hurt to ask!)

UGH. I wish I was going to Jamaica! I wish DH and I had more money to take more trips. Sometimes I wonder if going back to WDW is the right choice as we were there twice last year. :confused3 We could have chosen DL or Jamaica or even Hawaii. I talked to DH about my hesitancy to go back last night and he said but this trip will be different because we're staying at a different resort, eating at new places, and going to Universal. Also, the big deciding factor for going back to WDW this year was because my cousin (who I am really close to) will be doing the CP this fall and we will get to see her, as she is going to spend a couple days of our trip with us. :) So it really is the right choice. Next year, though, there will be no Disney (unless DH gets a better job and we can swing two big trips). Sorry to pour that on you, it's just nice to talk about it.

It definitely sounds like you've got plenty of reasons to head back to WDW this trip, I am sure you'll have a fabulous time! But I absolutely get where you're coming from, wanting to travel other places. Vacation money (and time) is pretty precious, and you want to make the most of it! Remember, you've got plenty of time for trips, Jamaica and Hawaii aren't going anywhere!

We are lucky this year because we were planing on a 2 week honeymoon money wise... skipped taking any trip last year. When vacation time didn't quite line up with such a long trip, we decided to split it into 2 separate honeymoons. That is how we are able to swing Jamaica and WDW in one year! It probably also means no big vacation at all next year. After that, there are so many places and things we want to do (like a cruise, never did one of those...)

**Before I start this post I would like to share that the mailman brought only one measly RSVP and it was a decline from a couple we already knew couldn't make it. Looks like Ben and I will be making some phone calls next week...**

Now on to what I was starting to get to before the disappointing mail delivery:

A few posts back I gave shared some highlights from our last trip to WDW.
There are a couple of stories that would have made it into a trip report had I ever bothered to write one. This seems like as good a time as any!

On past trips, I've spent a lot of time at the Adventurer's Club formerly found on Pleasure Island. We're talking multiple trips during the week... it was pretty addictive! When I adopted my cat Otis, part of the reason he caught my eye was because of his name (I had just gotten back from WDW and adventurer Otis T. Wren was fresh in my mind). Let's just say I loved this place. When Ben and I visited in Sept 07, we made sure to get as much Adventurer time in as we could. And on one special night, I got to be a part of the show! Here is my Adventurer debut, and a highlight of the trip:

Jump up for Jinkies!

Words can not express how sad I am that we will not be visiting AC this trip. But as the optimist I am, I am looking forward to getting more sleep. See? that was a silver lining :)

I think searching for new ADRs and going to the grocery store are kind of the same - if you do it when you're hungry, you end up with a whole lot of food! But it sure does sound good to me! :thumbsup2

Sounds like you have been a busy beaver.

I hope you start getting some RSVP's back soon. I hate that noone bothers to send them back, I mean they are called RSVP for a reason people!

I am not familiar with AC but it looks like you were having lots of fun. I am not sure if its around anymore though.

Coolbeans to adding two Kona Breakfasts, why not splurge :)

Haha, you're right- they are very much the same!
How could I resist breakfast at Kona when this is the one time we'll ever be staying at the Poly?

We got a bunch of RSVP today (the day after the due date), so we only have a handful of people left to track down. Not too bad, but still quite annoying!

The Adventurer's Club is sadly gone. It was tons of fun, and I'll miss it quite a bit!

Grrr, I am also super mad that the Adventurer's Club is closed! At least you have good memories!

I am a stickler for punctuality, so the late RSVP"s would kill me, but at least you only have a couple to hunt down. Imagine if those 45 people hadn't sent theirs in at all-- that would be such a pain to call, etc.

Who's idea was it to close the Adventurer's Club, anyway? Very sad. The streetmosphere around the Studios is a nice reminder, with some familiar faces. Not quite the same, but fun!

As for the RSVPs- I just can't understand why a stamped envelope is hard to return! But the good news is that we got a lot of answers today from family (Ben's brother and his family are coming to the wedding- they just didn't bother to send in their card...) I think there is only one couple left that I have to call. So that's just about all squared away!

Glad you are getting your RSVP's back :thumbsup2

Hope you had a lovely Easter :)

Hi Joyce, hope you are good.

Thought I would check in on you as its only 3 days until the big day :yay: Everything going ok?

Stefy :flower:

Hey Joyce! Just wanted to say that I hope your wedding was wonderful and everything you hoped it would be! :goodvibes

Awww, thanks for thinking of me girls! I know I dropped off the face of the DIS planet, it was so sweet of you to remember me!

The wedding was a blast, and Jamaica was amazing. Now we are really looking forward to September at Disney!!

I'll post pictures soon!

It's been a crazy couple of months, but the wedding is now over and we are home from the first honeymoon. Everything was so much fun, and over too quickly! Hope you don't mind if I share some pictures from the wedding:

We had a blast at the rehearsal dinner... even if Ben did have a little too much to drink. At least it wasn't at the wedding!

IMG_0300.jpg

The most stressful part of the day was getting 6 people's hair and make-up done on time. It took FOREVER. But it was fun... except when I was stressing.

My parents. Do you see the Disney World blanket on the couch? I forgot it was there till we got the pictures back.

I'll post more pictures if anyone is interested... I don't want to bog down the pre-trip report with wedding stuff if no one wants to see it!

Ohmygoodness you look gorgeous and that dress is just too beautiful.

Thanx for sharing your pics, looks like a you had an amazing wedding :goodvibes
