Hey Joyce!!!

:wave2: Welcome, very glad to have you along! I read your trip report and enjoyed it very much, hope I can return the favor!
It is a little crazy when I think about how quickly the wedding is coming up... but most things are done, just a few little details to work on. Now it's just waiting and I am a very impatient person!

haha, I don't know if anyone has stuck around seeing as how I haven't had a chance to update in a bit! But in any event, I'll keep going with my babble:

I got my updated reservation info from WDW today in the mail. So rest assured, I did indeed manage to add the dining plan and not something random and wacky, despite my complete lack of ability to understand the CM I spoke with. I'll be making my ADRs tomorrow, which makes the trip feel a little closer! And that means the wedding is way closer (eep! less than 7 weeks!).

Speaking of wedding, I have my first dress fitting on Wednesday and I can't wait to try my dress on again!

I'll have a longer update later (when I can upload some pictures) featuring a few highlights from our last trip.

Coolbeans that you did get dining and not golf :thumbsup2

How exciting that you are trying your dress on tomorrow, you won't want to take it off :)

Part one of our honeymoon is a little less than 7 weeks away... I can't even begin to explain how much I want to be in Jamaica right now! We just paid off the Sandals trip in full, and they sent us our trip documents and this super cool leather trip planner thing. We didn't get this last time... and I have no idea what we would actually do with it, but it was fun to receive in the mail:

So we are just about all set for that trip. I do have a little more shopping I'd like to do... I could use a few new sundresses. I did just buy a couple of bathing suits and a bunch of tops. If I can manage to loose a little more weight, I can go shopping in the pile of clothes that I haven't fit in for a couple of years. It's the cheapest way to get new clothes!

And since that trip is all planned (it's so easy- you don't have to worry about park days or meals!), I am looking forward to figuring out our Disneymoon!
I booked our ADRs today and it was my first time doing it since the on-line feature was available. At first I hated it, the website was being so slow! But once I got started, it ended up being pretty easy... and I was happy because I got everything I wanted! Here's what it looks like:
Sun 9/5 'Ohana 8:30pm
Mon 9/6 Whispering Canyon Cafe 6:10pm
Tue 9/7 Le Cellier 5:40pm
Wed 9/8 Sci Fi lunch 12pm (oop) and The Wave dinner 7:30pm
Thur 9/9 Raglan Road 6pm
Fri 9/10 Kona Cafe 7:10pm
Sat 9/11 Biergarten 7:15pm
Sun 9/12 Coral Reef lunch 11:30am.

There is one extra TS in there, so I think lunch at Coral Reef will be OOP. And since we don't have flight info yet, I'm not sure if that ADR will even be doable for us!
I have a vague idea of where we'll be on each of those days, but this list might change quite a bit. But I feel good knowing we have these as a starting point!

I can't even tell you how excited I am to try my dress on again! It has been so long since I've seen it. I'm also hoping to find a tiara at the shop while I'm there- they don't carry the Disney ones, but they have a pretty wide selection of head pieces. It will be nice to have that figured out!

I've been playing with the idea of a 'Trash the Dress' photo shoot. I thought it might be fun to do it at work (an animal shelter) playing with the animals there... but it is a pretty big decision that can't be un-done... it might take me a few years to actually get around to doing it. I've never met anyone that has done one, but it would be nice to hear if there were any regrets after doing it.

Oooh, I just checked the mail and there were 5 RSVP envelopes! All accepting. So far, we've only had 2 regrets and both from people we knew couldn't make it because of new babies arriving. Maybe there will actually be a party after all :)

Awesome gift from Sandals :) I am sure you will find a use for it :)

Congrats on getting the ADR's you wanted, they all look fab :)

Trash the Dress, is that what I think it is?

You must let us know how your dress fitting goes :)

ADR's are always a good way to base your park days. Or at least that's how we feel! You got some great places-- we are DEFINITELY doing WCC our next trip!
Have fun trying on your dress!! What does it look like?? What is a Trash the Dress party?

So excited about our ADRs... planning them makes me very hungry (especially on this pre wedding diet!)

A 'Trash the dress' photo shoot is kinda what is sounds like... you wear the dress for a photo shoot without worrying about what happens to the dress. I've seen some pictures of brides sitting on the street in the city, running into the ocean, one girl was riding her horse. That way you can get some fun, crazy pictures wearing your dress. Sometimes the dress really gets ruined during the shoot. So it also means you have to be ok with that. I know I'm not going to need it again, and I think I'd rather have fun pictures than a dress I'll never use again sitting preserved in storage... but I might wait a bit before doing it in case I change my mind! Sounds pretty crazy, huh?

My dress is pretty! I can't describe it too much because Ben has read this, and I have to assume he'll read it again. And so far I've kept the dress a surprise. But I can say that it's pretty traditional, but not too traditional (helpful, huh?;) )
I'll let you guys know how the fitting goes!

Ah, I'm so behind!

Yay for making your ADRs! They look great! :thumbsup2 And how exciting that you got the dining plan. We had it for the first time on our recent trip and I just don't think I could ever do without it. :thumbsup2

Congrats for getting your license! You're going to be a married lady before you know it! :goodvibes

And...I absolutely think you should do a TTD! I think it's such a neat concept. I think I would like to do one as well...maybe not totally trashing it, like getting in the ocean, but kind of semi-trashing :confused3 :rotfl2:

Hey...loving your ADR choices, we too are eating at Le Cellier at around half 5 should be good time for a leisurely finish in time for illuminations! also going to sci-fi and raglan road...any particular one your really looking forward to???

oooh and love the organiser from sandals...very luxurious!!!:goodvibes

congrats on getting the wedding licence!!!:woohoo:

So, I just had to say that I too was determined to get a Disneymoon AND a beachy, romantic honeymoon. What did we end up doing? We spent 4 days in WDW and then 4 days at Sandals Royal Bahamian. It was amazing!!! Which resort are you staying at in Jamaica? We almost booked Royal Caribbean, but then I decided I wanted to go to WDW more. Even hearing about Sandals is making me want to go! I love the idea of board game centerpieces! :)

P.S. You handled your loss of ring situation way better than I would have. I remember in the weeks that I first got mine I was putting lotion on and closed it in a binder with notes that I was studying. I went to a meeting and texted my roommate halfway through and had her tear my room apart looking for it...and she couldn't find it. I ran all the way back after it was over and luckily I found it, but I was FREAKING.

P.S. I love hearing about your wedding details. Reminds me of where I was at this point last year. I got married on May 30, we are coming up on one year already...wow!

The marriage license makes things feel so real... the wedding is creeping up on us!
I'm still happy with our ADRs, so that must mean they're good... I'm usually pretty indecisive :lmao:

I can't wait for Le Cellier.. we've never been. I hope it's as delicious as I'm expecting! Sci-Fi was Ben's choice- he is really looking forward to it. I am excited about Raglan Road for the atmosphere, food, and of course- beer!

Welcome aboard!
I love that you had a similar honeymoon situation! We just couldn't pick between WDW and tropical. We are staying at the Royal Carribbean in Jamaica in one of the swim up suites. We've been upgraded and have butler service, which is excited but a little intimidating- I'm not used to having someone waiting on me!

Aww, I am glad you didn't really lose your ring, but I'm sorry you had to worry about it even a little... not fun! We felt like we had to make the best of our situation since we had just started a dream vacation and didn't want to spend it miserable. Everything worked out in the end, though.

Congratulations on your almost anniversary!!!!!

I haven't had a chance to do a real update recently with work being crazy and handling wedding stuff.
My fitting on Wednesday was mostly good... my dress is lovely (and it fits) and I love my bustle! I also found a tiara/headpiece that is just perfect. Of course, as with everything that I do, something weird had to happen- the seamstress bled on my dress  She was stuck with a pin and there it was- bright red on my lovely white gown. I was proud of how well I kept it together and quickly enough it was taken care of and you'd never know. But that was a scary few moments of my life right there.

I still want to post some pictures from our last trip to WDW, and I will soon!

I am glad your fitting went well, I don't know if I would have been so calm if that happened to me, but I am glad it is all sorted and kudos to finding a tiara. Aww its all falling into place and before you know it your big day will be here :goodvibes

Well, there were a few seconds when I was very quietly panicking. But she got the blood out so quickly, I didn't have time to get too worried. Though I really don't know how I'll be able to relax while wearing that dress- I'm going to be so worried that I'll do something to it!

I have been super duper busy lately, which is making time fly by... the wedding is going to be here before I know it!

I am sure after a while you will get used to wearing it and you won't want to take it off :goodvibes

Glad to hear things are going well and yes, March has flown by so quick, I'll bet April will be the same :goodvibes

Stefy, thanks for hanging in there and reading.. I hope I'm not too boring and you are just too sweet to say so!

I find myself more consumed with wedding stuff lately than WDW, but I wanted to share this:
I had mentioned that I picked up a headpiece at my dress fitting. I just took it out to take some pictures (being the pre-trip report/wedding report dork that I am!) and look what I noticed:
IMG_0073.jpg

My very own hidden Mickey! I had no idea that was there, but now when I look at it, I can't believe I missed it (I guess that's the way with all HM, huh?)

And here is what the headpiece really looks like:

And on my head...

In other news, tomorrow will mark ONE MONTH until our wedding. I am so stinking excited! I have a few wedding related errands to run today and I am even excited for those!

And since I have this rainy day off and Penny's vet appointment didn't take as long as I though it would, I am finally posting some pictures from our last WDW trip that I've been meaning to share for a very long time.
I really didn't take too many pictures on that trip, and there's no way I can manage to piece together even the vaguest imitation of a trip report. But that won't stop me from sharing a few stories...
This trip happened in September 2007. We were in the middle of buying our house (our offer had been accepted and the appraisal actually happened while we were at MK) when we went on this trip. I have to say that looking forward to moving made it the first time it wasn't too hard to leave WDW!
We were there for a week and stayed at POP Century (which I love, but will not miss this year as I am relaxing at the Poly)
The best bus ride ever!
P1010002.jpg

P1010003.jpg

Then we spent a LOT of time in the parks, bouncing around from place to place.
P1010080.jpg

I don't even have the faintest clue as to why Ben is hanging out with this trash can. I can't even come up with a story. But I think it's funny.
P1010068.jpg

TOT is my favoritest ride ever. I want to live there. I even have the songs from the queue area on my iPod (Vera Lynn's 'We'll Meet Again' is awesome and really makes you feel all Tower of Terror-y)
P1010009.jpg

We both enjoyed MS very much... in weird Joyce trivia, this ride actually makes me hungry.
P1010092.jpg

while wondering around Epcot, we came across the Muppet Lab thingee. I like the awkwardness of this photo as Ben is creeping on the Muppets.
P1010100.jpg

Another highlight was Off Kilter. I had read about them in trip reports, but hadn't planned to watch them. They were playing as we walked by and we stopped to watch- these guys are really good and so much fun!
P1010113.jpg

I was having animal withdrawal, I think. We are weird, that is something you should know as you read this (if you read this.)

So that was a typical day on this trip (I'm kidding, that wasn't all one day! But we really do park hop a LOT).
Next, I'll share some not-so-typical things...

That picture of your DF posing with the trash can is too funny! It's not Push either. :rotfl2:

Your wedding is so close! With spring comes weddings. :lovestruc I have a shower to go to this weekend and another in a few weeks. Just enjoy every minute of everything. I still get butterflies in my stomach when I think about my wedding and honeymoon. :)

Ooooh, I love your headpiece- it's so pretty! :lovestruc And how neat that it has a hidden mickey!

Yay for only one month until the wedding - I bet you are just so excited! :goodvibes
