What's better than a honeymoon? TWO Honeymoons! 8/30 57 hours/13 months to go!

I need to share how much I loved Toy Story 3!!! Seeing it in 3D in IMAX was definitely an experience.
I can't remember the last movie that got such an emotional response from me (and others- Ben teared up a little and the lady sitting next to me was crying a bit, too)
Just so much good to say about it! I don't want to spoil stuff for those that haven't seen it, but the bad guy in this movie is hands down the meanest Disney villain.

Go see it, everyone!

Awww I'm so jealous you have seen it already. We don't get it over here til next month and I cannot wait to see it.

Glad you enjoyed it, do you think its better than the first two?

As for your ADR's, if you are trying new places then maybe The Wave is the way to go :goodvibes

I don't think I would say 'better', only because I really love the first Toy Story (the second one, too... but the first more!) Definitely a worthy 'third' in the series!

That's what I keep telling myself about the Wave ADR... every trip I want to try new places and every time I end up with old favorites. I need to stick to my guns this time!

You already have the ADR for The Wave right? So I say keep it and steer clear of ADR's in DHS. It does look like a fab restaurant and I am sure you guys won't be disappointed :goodvibes

Yes, we already have a Wave ADR. I am back to looking forward to trying it! I've been very good about not messing with my dining choices this week. Hope I can stay strong for 67 more days!

On a sort of related note- do any of you know much about dining choices at Universal? We're staying at Portofino Bay and I know they have good pizza (Sal's, maybe?) I also think I'd like to try Margaritaville. Any other suggestions?

Toy Story 3 in IMAX 3D was so awesome! I cried twice and almost teared about a couple other times as well. I want to mention certain parts but I won't because I know there are some who haven't seen it yet. But you know at the end when you think that you know and they you know and I, I---I just couldn't take it! I do agree on your opinion of the villian-if only b/c of the way he is evil!

Great job on not messing with your ADR's. I think we need a support group. Haha! "Hi, my name is Rachael and I haven't changed my ADR's in 4 days." :rotfl:

Haha, I totally know what part of the movie you're talking about and I almost lost it during that scene!
The villain is one character I hope I never meet in WDW- I don't think I could behave myself

I guess this is sort of an ADR support group. At least if I change anything and post it here I feel like I'd better have a gosh darned good reason :rotfl:

This isn't trip related, but it's an update!

You may recall from way back when I was introducing the cast of this trip report that I work at an animal shelter. A hazard of this job is when the occasional really pathetic looking animal comes in and needs to be fostered. We have a lot of people that volunteer to foster (usually litter of kittens that are too young for adoption), but sometimes there's an animal that just seems so bad off that I take it home because I don't want to subject a volunteer to the sadness of the animal not making it.
About a month ago, some folks brought in a kitten they had found. She was extremely underweight and suffering from a bad upper respiratory infection. But even being so sick, she was very friendly and spunky. So I brought her home (along with some antibiotics) to give her a chance. She had a HUGE appetite and quickly put on weight.
Here's what she looked like just a few days after coming home with me:

and a close up:

One of our cats, Bluebell, loved the baby and took good care of her!

She was sick, but responding really well to the medication and food. Except for one eye which now kinda resembled the Terminator when half his face got blown off. Gross.

But her spirits were great and she was looking healthier and healthier. Except for that eye.. it was getting really swollen and nothing helped. Finally the vet decided that it wasn't going to get better, and the only thing to do was remove it. She couldn't see out of it at this point anyway, and had to be in pain.

We jokingly called her Coraline (have you seen that movie? So creepy but really good!) because of her stitch eye. She recovered phenomenally from surgery and feels great now!

With that introduction, I'd like to introduce the newest member of our family... Blanche!

We decided to keep her! I made it official yesterday. She fits in great with the other pets and has the sweetest personality! She's actually snuggled right up with me as I type. Now I know we are nuts and this is the ABSOLUTE limit of pets.

My sister loves animals and volunteers both at a horse stable and at an animal shelter and they now have 4 cats b/c of it. 2 she got after begging for an animal for years and another they took in when it was in a similar situation to your new family member and the other they found outside on their driveway under their car. Cleo-the cat from the shelter only has one eye and a stubby tail because some kids thought it would be funny to blow up fireworks with her. :sad2: I just don't understand...

We are getting a new kitten, too! Our cat Fredi (she's a little over a year now) is showing signs of being lonely (waking us up in the middle of the night-EVERY night) so we are going for it. We're waiting a few weeks until things settle down, though! :)

I guess it is an inevitable thing when you spend time at an animal shelter- you end up with animals! I held out for a long time with just my one cat, but in the last year we adopted 3 new animals! We are officially full.
Poor Cleo! stories like that make me so sick. I'm glad she's in a loving home now thanks to your sister!

Oh, I bet Fredi will be so happy to have a new kitty in the house!

Ok, ok... I have a confession to make: I just spent a chunk of time on the Disney Dining website. And yes, I was looking for ADRs

But it was for something good that I didn't really expect to be available anyway...
I've read about the Hoop Dee Do Revue in a few TRs lately, and really want to go. It totally seems like our kind of humor (and food! and beer!) But there are no ADRs on any of the nights we could possibly do it. Though if anything opens up for those times, I will be changing some things. I'll either give up dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe (my first choice to switch out for HDDR), Raglan Road, or Beirgarten. It will also mean paying OOP for something else during the trip, and I'm still ok with doing it if we can!
So this is my new project: stalking the ADR site. Wish me luck!

That was easy! I just tried again and got Catergory 1 seats for HDDR for Monday 9/6 at 7:15pm. This will take the place of dinner at WCC. I figure they're kinda similar (sorta...) I'll miss seeing the WL (never been there!), but I suppose we can still try to visit if we feel like it.

I think we'll pay OOP for HDDR because we are already short a few TS credits due to Ben's request for lunch at Sci-Fi and my inability to not have a TS dinner every night- there are just too many places I want to try!

I am also going to try to keep this a surprise. Unless Ben reads this again, but I doubt he'll go looking for it!

What an adorable cat! :cloud9: Seeing animals in such bad shape like that just breaks my heart. :sad1: How wonderful that you took her in and nursed her back to health! She looks so much better now!

And yay for getting a HDDR ADR! :woohoo: I agree that WCC was a good one to drop, mostly just because of the type of food. :thumbsup2

Thanks, she is pretty durned cute, huh? She looks even better now- the hair is growing back around her non-eye. I wish we could get her to wear an eye patch, she'd be a cute pirate kitty.

When I checked last night for HDDR and found NOTHING I was so disappointed. I never thought it would be as easy as just trying today.
Yeah, I liked what I'd heard about the atmosphere more than reviews of the food at WCC, so I am really happy with this change!

Signing on to your PTR! Just went through everything and loved seeing the pics of your wedding and first honeymoon! You two are so cute together!

We will be in WDW at the same time-- although we are only doing one day at Universal-- not three. I think I am starting to regret only scheduling one day there-- I am scared of the HP crowds-- which is the reason why we are taking a day from Disney and applying it to Universal!

Can't wait to hear more!

So sweet of you to take on another kitty!! We had a horrible experience with a shelter/shelter dog and I'm sad to say it turned us off from shelters for the time being. However, I think it's really amazing what you do!!
I'm VERY excited to hear about HDDR!! I heard the beer is not so fab, but unlimited drinks is still terrific!!

:welcome: Thanks for checking out my PTR!

How fun that you will be there at the same time! Where are you staying?
I'm a bit nervous about crowds at Universal, but I've been wanting to go and HP opening made it just too hard to resist. Let's hope for the best!

Sorry to hear you had a bad shelter experience! There are a lot of different kind of organizations out there and I've heard some real doozies. I hate when that happens, because it makes is harder to find folks to adopt our pets!

SO excited about HDDR. I won't be surprised if the beer isn't great, but I bet we'll still drink it ;)

We are staying at POFQ and travelling with my BIL and SIL's family! It will be interesting doing it with kids... BTW, If you keep your ADR for Raglan on the 9th, we will be there too-- although ours isn't until 7:30, =)

Ooh, I love POFQ! How old are the kids you're traveling with? I sometimes think it would be fun to go to WDW with family so we can experience it with kids along (since we're not planning on having kids ourselves)

If Ben and I eat slow and have an extra beer or two, maybe we'll see you at Raglan Road!
