What's better: Booking a package through the Disney site or doing it individually?

The title says it all. I know I can book the rooms through other sites like Expedia (currently says dates sold out for June), but it is just the same to book a package direct with Disney? What about tickets? I'm feeling overwhelmed with options ;)

TIA!!

Tickets are included via Disney. As a general rule, Expedia is room only unless stated. In which case you'll have to book tickets or get an annual pass :)

Can't I but tickets elsewhere sometimes at a discount also?

I'm looking into the get two free promo for the UK. I'm in the US, but have read where I can book through a travel agency and get the deal. Hmmmm

I have literally just booked ours an hour ago and after much too-ing and fro-ing we booked directly with disney as it worked out about £100 cheaper ( we are flying and doing 4 nights 5 days on site hotel )

The tickets would work out more expensive separate.

You're two best options would be to book a package (try a few different countries websites as the offers can vary)
or
Book room only (on or off site) and get annual passes (prices from €119 - €199).

Forgot to add Disneyland Paris packages include tickets (kids under 7 noramally free year round with kids under 12 free normally January - end March), accomodation and breakfast.

the price you are seeing on the UK site for 2 nights free includes park tickets for 5 days, and breakfast, for each guest you book into the package :).

I think that's our best option! We are four adults and three kids (only one under 7) but it works out to be a very good deal and it gives me an excuse to stay two extra nights :cool1:

But I cannot book that direct through there being in the US, correct? Another board mentioned using World Travellers. Has anyone dealt with them?

Thanks!

yes you can :) - just leave the country at UK, don't try to change it to US. Then you'll be able to complete your booking - all the confirmation comes to you by email anyway, nothing comes to you through the post.

What I suggest is booking the package on the UK site. When you put in your address just put in your US address but leave the country as UK. I know it seems a but sinister but they don't mail you anything, everything is done via email. I saved like $500 by booking on the UK site vs the US site and there was no issue at all during check-in at the hotel (Sequoia Lodge). I have never once seen a targeted discount to US guests and I've been checking the website no less than monthly for 12+ years. I know it seems intimidating to book on an other than US site but I did it and no problems at all.

Wonderful! Thanks, everyone!

One more question, is the half board meal plan worth it? We don't really care about doing sit-down meals, counter service is fine, so could we save money in the long run not adding the meal plan? We always add it at WDW, but that's totally different.

you're right, its totally different at DLP, and if you wouldn't eat at table or buffet service every day for your whole party, its definitely not worth adding any meal plan to your DLP booking.
