What's actually worse than getting a PIN you can't use???

Sigh….this one needs a little backstory to make sense.

Last year, we decided to do a Disney trip with friends. As the trip approached, they pretty much dropped the ball and made me do everything planning-wise. The mom even asked me to use one of my email accounts to sign her up on the Disney site so they could get the commemorative maps. I did it plus LOTS more bending over backwards for them, since it was their first trip, and I wanted to make it special. Then, when the actual trip came, they complained about EVERYTHING. For example, I had been saving up my air miles to pay for our flights, but I split them so that they could receive a discount on their airfare. But, instead of the $250 savings I got them, they complained that I didn’t book them on their preferred airline. I could go on and on, but to sum up the story, we are no longer friends. :sad2:

So, lo and behold, what comes in my inbox today, but a PIN code…. addressed to THEM. Using the email account that I signed on to Disney to get them the commemorative maps….Waaaaaah! So not only do I not get a PIN code, but I have to sit here and look at one addressed to THEIR mean ole family! :rotfl2:

ahhhh!

Call WDW and ask them to transfer the code. The CM will need to speak to supervisor to do this. We received a pin addressed to my daughter at our old mailing address and it was forwarded to our new home. They were happy to apply the code for us, even though my daughter has a different last name and the pin was miled to a separate address.

And about your former friend....you will be rewarded for your kindness in other ways.:goodvibes

I got a PIN code, but the applicable dates are for the week after I'll be there this year...so I can't use mine, either! I remember a Calvin & Hobbes comic strip that said, "Getting an inch of snow is like winning 10 cents in the lottery." I think getting a PIN code you can't use fits that definition, too!

I appreciate the replies. It helps to be able to talk to people that understand how ya feel!

Mich Mouse, I'm going to do what you suggest and call them. We were dying to go back but couldn't quite afford it. We're taking the code as a SIGN that we MUST go! :rotfl2:

Captain Oblivious, I have to admit that having one for dates so close to your actual visit might just be worse. Hugs to you, too. (Loved the Calvin and Hobbes quote - that one made me fall outta my chair this morning!)

I feel the same way about the military discounts they are offering this year. :cheer2: We were hoping to be able to make a trip at Christmas in 2011 but this fabulous deal came up so now we are planning for this December. :cool1:
