before we call DVC to see when we will receive our contract on resale? We got a letter from them about 1.5 mos. back, we know we are in the system, we have seen that on website. Just wondering how long to wait before we call MS to see about official paperwork

We closed in May and just received ours but we didn't receive it from Disney paperwork came from the closing company.

If the new contract is titled the same, the points should show up on the membersite. If you need a new member ID to access this contract, you'll need to wait longer.

Did your letter include your membership number? If so, you're done. Call in and start booking.

The first thing we got after our first resale was a short letter that said basically, "Your member number is XXXXXXXX". A week or two later we got our membership guidebook with points charts and so forth. On our second resale we just got the letter, which was kind of moot because we had already seen the new points show up online.

If you closed more than 1.5 months ago and you don't have your membership number, something is wrong. Call and see what's happening.

I may have misunderstood but I though the OP was talking about the real estate deed you receive later not their membership number as they said they could see the membership online they must have that.

Oh, OK, I may have misunderstood. If what we're talking about is the deed, that will come from the title company. It's purely a formality. You can download a copy from the Orange County web site and print it out.

Ok thanks folks, that answers lot of questions. This was our 1st resale, 5th contract, previous 4 were direct sale. Its like starting all over:confused3
