What's a good time for Ohana dinner?

We will be down there on our honeymoon, and we've never been to Ohana. We want to eat here, then head back over the Magic Kingdom for the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party at 9 (if we can get it). If not, we'll just find a spot.

The times I'm getting are

5:40, 6:25, 6:30, 6:45, 6:50 and 7:05

My friend says go at 5:40 and if we get done earlier than expected shop around the hotel or head back to MK until show time.

:welcome: to the disboards.

Quite honestly, I wouldn't do 'Ohana and the Wishes Dessert Party on the same night. 'Ohana is an all you care to eat family style dinner so you'll probably still be full by the time the dessert party starts.

If you do them on the same night, I would make the 'Ohana reservation for as early as possible. I would choose 5:40, but if you can get an even earlier reservation, that would be better.

5:00 is even better. If that's the start of the dinner service, you'll probably be seated with a minimal wait. As the evening progresses 'Ohana tends to fall behind and the waits often get long.

I agree that you should book it as early as possible for the same reasons mentioned above. As the night progresses Ohana can be quite a long wait and with the all you care to eat meal, it is very filling. The 5:00 reservation sounds like a great option.

I would do the 5:00 to be seated on time. But, the dessert at Ohana is fantastic, and the dinner is quite a lot of food, so I don't know if I would do the dessert party on the same night.

Definitely don't plan on doing the dessert party the same night. We had BOG last year at 6 pm then the dessert party we were definitely still a little full...and Ohana has a larger volume of food consumption! You can always do a later dinner at Ohana then watch the fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian.

We were however seating promptly, no more than a five minute wait, for a 5:10 Ohana reservation.

Well the dessert is a bonus. We just wanted to pay a little extra and enjoy the fireworks as newlyweds in peace without being run over by strollers and ECVs.
