Alka-Seltzer Plus. I/we (my partner) often come home with some other family's cold, and the on-property cold remedies available in the resort shops never include our go-to ASP. Two trips ago I got sick on my last day and hadn't packed any. I managed to find some in a Hudson News at MCO waiting for our flight home. Our last trip earlier this month, I wised up and packed a bunch--all of which got used when we both flirted with colds mid-trip. I still ended up buying more at the airport, but having packed it in advance really saved the second half of our trip.

Extra socks to change if it pours & your feet get soaked
Tenactin in case it rains & your feet get soaked after changing into your spare socks

I always bring bottles of iced coffee to drink on my way to the parks & bottles of water for the room

Since I drive, I started brining my utility cart so I can haul the case of water & bags other than my suitcase to & from the room. It's portable so it folds flat & I have enough room in my trunk to put my suitcase, bags, etc. on top of it to save space:

So I just got back and was really happy about my glowing bracelets . I can't remember where I saw this idea (maybe on this very thread), but I really enjoyed having some glowing accessories at night and I even offered some to kids who were obviously looking at the nighttime merch. I loved how it pleased both children and parents . Though I was going solo myself, I'm sure it is a good idea for parents who don't want to spend on money on this type of merch !

Don't forget to bring any gift cards you might have! We bought about $900 in gift cards and forgot them at home. The money we saved buying them on sale was canceled out by the overnight shipping we had to pay to have them mailed to us.

Baby wipes
If you have kids a small bag dedicated to all the stickers they will get.

We drive from NY when we go to WDW.
I will highly recommend those plastic cereal containers that have a lid with a small opening you can pop open (rubbermaid flip top cereal keeper, if you need to search). We lined it with a plastic grocery bag and it held all the trash so nicely for our drive. It was even MORE beneficial when our daughter got car sick on the drive back!!

Our favorite, most helpful things to bring are: quick easy breakfast foods so we can eat quickly while getting ready and get to parks at opening, disposable dishes/flatware/paper towels, lots of snacks to grab and pack for days in the parks, foaming hand soap for the room, envelopes for the maids tip money, collapsible boxes to put the "important" stuff in at the end of a long park day to find easily in the morning (wallets, magic bands, etc.), power strip with usb charger ports, collapsible hamper, and the portable dvd player in the car is truly a lifesaver.

Contact lenses
Eye glasses
Prescription meds
Drivers license
Medical insurance card
Bite guard (for TMJ )
Swimsuit (hard to find one I like!)
Makeup (costly to replace on vacay)
Cell phone & charger
Comfy, broken-in shoes

Other things, you can buy on vacation, like clothes, OTC meds. But the above list would be hard to replace!

When we got into the car, my husband asked, have our magic bands, meds and tickets? (We had vouchers for our annual pass)

Next time use disneygiftcard.com Whoever was back home could have loaded those cards into your account and then you would have transferred the balances to another card. I always keep an empty card in my wallet so I can transfer all my other cards to it in a pinch.

I am always happy to have Ziplock bags. I use them for leftover snacks, wet socks, souvenirs...unfortunately to catch puke on numerous occasions
Try not to panic and remember that you're not in a 3rd world country, everything you need can be found nearby even if it means paying for a taxi to Walmart etc.

Years ago, it was like a third world country with 1st+ world prices. I can remember needing Benadryl or sunscreen or pail/shovel and wanting to weep at the cost. Now one can Uber on over to any super store.

The important thing is to not just create a list, but actually CHECK ITEMS OFF as you pack.

A number of years ago I took my niece on a day trip to a local water park (not Disney). I thought I had everything we would need for the day. We got there, and when I went to change? I'd forgotten my swim suit!!!
