What would you say is your best family vacation

Outer Banks, NC. We are beach people and it is truly, the most relaxing yet beautiful vacation we've ever spent! Wish we could go more than once every 2 weeks. While I'm wishing, I wish I could just buy a beach house :thumbsup2

Skiing in Park City Utah. After always skiing on ice in the East, it was so great to be on powder in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. We rented a condo, so we did some home-cooked, relaxed meals. Park City has a wonderful shuttle bus system (free) that the boys (age 18) could ride and go downtown or to another resort. It was the year after the Olympics and we got to see the ski jumps, bob sled runs, etc. We also drove into Salt Lake and saw the Jazz play basketball.

My son's best friend, who went with us, is still talking about the trip 7 years later. And he has traveled all over this country and Europe.

It was just perfect.

Our best family vacation was when our kids were 12 and 14. We had a pop-up camper and camped in the upper peninsula of Michigan for a week, specifically at the Tahquamenon Rivermouth State Park, in the rustic section. We didn't spend a lot of money, but we had the best week, just being together.

For DH and myself, since the kids are grown and gone, I would have to say the cruises we've taken and our March 2007 trip to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg.

Our best vaca was Grand Mayan resort in acapulco - it is away from the hussle/bustle of downtown Acapulco - and we had a lovely time completely contained within the resort - beach, pool, activities, sports, ceramics, multiple restaurants etc

We have a few family favorites. Boating to Sailors Haven, Fire Island and Duck Key, Hawks Cay. We had the BEST time. :)

Can't choose between:

Arizona
Disney and Royal Caribbean cruises
Hawaii

All three have been awesome. We do cruises every year, are going back to Arizona this year, and going back to Hawaii next year!

It had to be the Western US National Parks road trip. We went to Bryce & Zion, Craters of the Moon & Yellowstone. We ended the trip with a couple of nights in Reno.

We have done Vegas a few times which has been fun but our kids are adults now. We, also, enjoy our few days up at Mackinaw City, MI every summer. :)

We don't travel much, but we had a really good time when we visited Atlanta last summer. We visited the aquarium and the World of Coke, both of which fascinated the kids and me. We're pretty simple I guess.:rotfl:
