Here are my nominees:

EVENT/FOOD: I just snagged the Tomorrowland Dessert Party for July 4. Of every reservation that I have tried to snag, that was the hardest, as they don't announce when it will enter the system -- you just have to call and call and call starting two months out. It hit the system today, and I got a reservation for the family.

EVENT: We did a Wishes cruise two years ago. From what I am told, it is hard to get that reservation.

DVC: We have had a hard time finding certain room types in DVC, but as far as resorts go, we have had the hardest getting Beach Club at the 7 month window.

Have to agree with Be Our Guest, it is right now the hardest to get.

As to Beach Club Villas, it depends on room size and time of visit. Club Level at AKL is much harder.

The 4th of July cruises are some of the hardest to get.

I have not tried real hard for many things (resies) at WDW. Here's what I have had difficulty getting, but we were not too hard pressed and found other options:
1- BCV for July 4th week (even tried for split stay...1BR and no luck...booked split stay at VWL and BWV)
2- BWV standard view or BW view (got pool/garden view)
3- lunch resie for Le Cellier for 15 of us on Xmas Eve 2011 (had a table of 7 and kept trying for a second table of 8...no luck...booked Rose and Crown instead).
4- HH 1BR before we owned there (for a week in late July of 2009...we got 5 nights, but not the ones we originally wanted...had to tweak our plans and eventually dropped down to 4 nights and added on 3 at OKW to do Seaworld).
5- getting a perfect dinner time at Ohana (6:00-7:00), we always seem to only be able to get later times (like after 8:20).
6- booking a last minute DVC stay for Jan a few years ago (MIL and FIL were going and we wanted to tag along). Tried to find something about 1-2 months out and no luck (didn't need to go anyway).

The hardest reservations I have made were:

All at 7 months:

1. HHI 1 BR in July: The HHI reservation was the most difficult. I called 3 days in a row as soon as member services opened and finally got a week. I didn't think I would get this. btw, it was worth the effort - we loved it.

2. BLT Standard View studio- I was successful last August using a waitlist. But other times, there is not even a chance.

3. BLT MK view at 7 months - I was successful getting a 2 BR for august at exactly 7 months - but it was a lot of points.

At home resort:

4. VWL in December - I have a contract there and at about 10 months (I know - should have called at 11 months), I couldn't get my dec. dates in a studio. I got the reservation in November instead.

I have never tried to book a major holiday.

Restaurants:

O'Hana, Chef Mickey and years ago Cinderella's Royal Table (when only the breakfast was a character meal).

Be Our Guest! Not a chance over spring break at 180 days out... Was able to get a very late reservation for October - only time available at 180 days.

AKV concierge (and value to a degree) and BWV GV are pretty high on my list as the most difficult to get even at 11 months out. I'm sure GC can fit into that group for many times of the year as well. In my definition of most difficult to get the 7 month window really doesn't come into play because to me, if it's available at 7 months out, it's either simply luck or not that difficult to get for those parameters.

I think BOG dinner ADRs are the hardest. I've been lucky, have made 4 so far. We ate lunch there this past Monday, & I do think lunch is a reasonable alternative to trying for another dinner ADR!

We've had the Fireworks dessert party for July 3rd in the past, they show the great fireworks that day too! Congratulations on getting that ADR for the 4th!

For this year, the 29th of December in a standard studio at BWV was the hard night for me to get. It came through very quickly with a waitlist, but I always am nervous when trying for a NYE trip at BWV!

Bobbi:)

I think BOG will ease up somewhat in a couple of years, it still may be like Le Cellier has been historically but I doubt it'll be this difficult long term.

Be Our Guest was hard and for next trip I got it exactly 6 months out.

However, the hardest is AKV concierge. It is often gone even when using the 11 month window and when open I have seen it disappear on a number of occassions by 8:01 in the morning on-line at 11 months.

Be Our Guest at a decent time! The whole month of Sept. is booked!

We just did Be Our Guest in on April 7th for a 6:30 dinner. I called right at the 180 day+10 mark. :cloud9: I just wanted to add, it lived up to the hype. The food was fabulous. Our server was amazing. Loved being able to have wine with my dinner. The meet and greet with The Beast was great! And the restaurant is so beautiful. The details are beyond the beyond! Just top notch!

Yep, definitely Be Our Guest. It's become what Cinderella's Royal Table once was. If you don't call exactly at opening on 180+10, it's hard to get.

I managed a reservation for the two of us on our next trip. Recently found out that friends are coming to Disney the same week as us, and they were hoping I could change it to a reservation for 6. Not a chance! I've looked every day for the past three weeks, but it just isn't going to happen.

I couldn't get AKV Value 2 BR for the week of Dec. 1st at 11 months out, 8:00 am. And to think I wanted TWO. :rotfl2: I was definitely in la-la land.

2- BWV standard view or BW view (got pool/garden view)
4- HH 1BR before we owned there (for a week in late July of 2009...we got 5 nights, but not the ones we originally wanted...had to tweak our plans and eventually dropped down to 4 nights and added on 3 at OKW to do Seaworld).

I would definitely agree with you on these points as I've had a hard time with them all as well. I was thrilled last week when I snagged an 'Ohana dinner at 6:35. We've not been there for dinner because I could never get anything before 8:30. That same night I could've got BOG at 8:55 but let it go since I'd gotten 'Ohana at a good time. Still haven't got BOG but we'll go for lunch. To be honest, I haven't tried that hard for BOG. Too much effort. It'll be there next trip.

We got a 1BR at HHI in Oct 2010 through a Disney VISA rate. I tried to WL the first week of April this year at 7 months and it never came through. I can't figure out why they built that resort with a majority of dedicated 2BR. You'd think lockoffs would be better.

Booked BOG for 9 people on 7/7/13 at the 180 day mark. My DD did not get a college internship she was hoping for, so decided to join us. Tried adding her to my reservation multiple times now with no luck:sad2: Good news I was able to add her to all of my other ADR's. Also have BCV for Food and Wine and the first week of December, both made at 11 months out.

Be Our Guest --- never got that ADR last year and I LIVED on the dining website and cancellations thread. Ugh. That was weeks of my life I'll never get back :cool2:

AKV Club --- and I own AKV :crazy2:

Oh and of course, Club 33. Please someone PM me if you can get me in :rotfl2:

IDK I got BOG no problem . But I called exactly at the 180 day mark . I also got AKV 1BR value no problem at 7 months , again I called ASAP and am going in 2 weeks so I know its not high demand time for DVC . But it works for me .

Since this is my first DVC trip I don't have anything else to compare it too .

This is not at WDW, but in DLR. We were booking a studio at VGC for our upcoming stay and had to make sure we were logged in and ready when the online booking opened up because I had read that studio villas are really hard to get at 7 months out, and since we are going in June, that didn't help either. Luckily, we were able to secure the 7 nights, but later that day I went back in and noticed that a lot of the days during our trip were already booked up. The next morning I got up bright and early to call MS so I could add on one more night, which I was able to do too :goodvibes.

As far as WDW goes, we (knock on wood) haven't had a hard time making any reservations for any of our stays... we have even booked BCV at the 7 month mark 3 times with no problems. This is one of the many reasons why we like to go at an off time of year :goodvibes. The only reservation that was really hard for me to get was CRT back in 2005. I was trying to get reservations for a group of 7 and had no luck, no matter how early I got up. However, DH called the dining line later that day (after he got home from work) and was able to get an ADR, the only stipulation was that my Dsis and her family had to sit at one table and our family had to sit at another, but they were still close enough together that it didn't really matter much......pure luck I tell ya!!!! :rotfl:

3- lunch resie for Le Cellier for 15 of us on Xmas Eve 2011 (had a table of 7 and kept trying for a second table of 8...no luck...booked Rose and Crown instead).
.

This one has gotten MUCH easier. After all Disney has raised the prices and done nothing else to improve the place.

I think Be Our Guest is probably overall the hardest reservation right now.

My DVC "hard to get" is Concierge at AKV
