We are annual passholders and our son will be celebrating his 10th at Disneyland next month.

He has a choice of the $69 fun card or the fast pass card for him and 5 guests....

What would you pick for your birthday bonus if you were going in the month of July??

Any advice is greatly appreciated....

I would get the fun card and use FP as much as possible. :)

I would pick the $69 fun card. Just make sure you are there at opening and pick up fastpasses before the parks get too crowded. If you do decide on the fun card, we picked ours up later in the day when the lines at the ticket booths died down.

Another one for Fun Card!

From what I heard the FP is pretty limited and not as worth it as the Fun Card.

Without question - the Fun Card. Yes, rides are important at DLR, and July is a crowded month at DLR, but that $69 gift money may buy a souvenir (or two) of the trip that will last a lifetime, which is way more valuable than a FP. In fact, my birthday is in July too, and I intend to go and get my Fun Card!!

I agree with everyone else. The FPs are not worth $69 to me! For that price I will make do with the free FPs! My DH will be getting the card on his Bday on June 30th. And I'm going to help him spend it. ;)

Do you pick up the fun card at the main gate or at guest services?

I know one place to get the Fun Card for sure is inside DL, at City Hall. They give you your card, a birthday button and a 'phone call from Goofy.';) I am not sure if anyone has been getting the Fun Card at the main gate or Guest Services. It seems like I recall one person saying they got it at Guest Services a while back, but I could be wrong on that.

I can not remember, does City hall open early on magic morning hours or does it open at regular park hours?

We are going 1 month from today for DDs bday, she will be getting the Fun Card. :)

We got our 2 Fun Cards (so far this year, still have 2 more to go) at City Hall, we went in the morning for DBFs card but for mine we went later in the morning. Lines were OK both time, processing mine was super fast tho because I had the computer printout and DBF did not.

My DD just had her B-day. She took the $ and ran! I say take the $69

I am trying to look at it from an older kids perspective. Make the day all about them and definitely go for the fun card. What young kid or anyone for that matter wouldnt love free money (this being a lot for a kid) on their birthday to spend on what ever they liked. Its like an extra birthday present. :) I dont think ive ever seen anyone pass up a free gift. This would be good for you too cause its saves you money on something that he might want to purchase but you didnt have the money for.

FP might be good for adults who arnt all that concerned about money. But like others said they are minimal.
