A pool. My son is autistic and LOVES water, but he's not the best swimmer. I'd rather just have a dedicated time/place to go to a recreational pool so we can control it/him better. I feel like I wouldn't be able to keep a complete eye on him living with a pool, and it just gives me nightmares. I live in the NE and I'm used to not having one, so it won't be missed, to be honest.

A pool for sure. My wife made it clear when we bought our house 40 years ago she didn't want a pool. Her mom had one. When her mom passed away, we had to keep up the pool for 3 months until we sold the house. Even with a pool service, and a cover....it was September to December, leaf season......I couldn't keep the leaves out of the pool. Too much work.
Had a hot tub. No issues with that for 25 years. Looked at replacing it and the upkeep on the spas now is crazy. Our old one, you put a tablespoon of chlorine in after every use, and run the filter for five minutes, and you're good. Now they use some sort of cartridge for the chlorine every three months at a cost of $20 each, too expensive.

IN the house? A sauna or a pool. I have friends who have these and they both say that they have a very difficult time with humidity/mildew smell throughout the house.
A hot tub? Outside, maybe, although I can't imagine using it in the winter here- you'd freeze trying to get back into the house!

A sink waste disposal unit. Those things have always scared me, and I have had them removed anytime I move into a new property that has one.
